Used to love going here, but cant support a business that lies to its customers. They lead many on to believe that theyre food is halal, which it is not. If you ask the owner he will always give a different answer. Believe me if you want, sometimes its halal and sometimes it is not, I serve halal when I can see its a Muslim customer. <- (on what basis does he decide that a customer is or isnt Muslim!?). During my last visit he finally fessed up stating that it is not halal because its too expensive, but it is not his duty to inform customers, and that the onus was on the customer to find out.

Rating on this restaurant was high, so this was like a must try restaurant in Richmond. The only dish that I ordered and tried was Cholo Kebab (2 skewers of juicy seasoned ground beef, served with basmati rice, saffron, grilled tomato and house salad). The ground beef tasted excellent. The dish was quite healthy that had less greasy. It cost $9.99 + tax. The thing that I didn’t like was the environment. The interior of the restaurant looked simple and crude. Flies were flying around when eating the dish.

Don’t let the facade fool you. I have passed this place many times, from the outside it does not look like anywhere I would want to eat but one day I peaked in and then went in. This is not a pizza place. This is a Persian shishkabob place. Firstly, it is spotless, restaurants in the neighbourhood can be sketchy but not this one. You can see everything being made. Secondly, the chicken and beef skewers, no matter how you get them, sandwich or plate, are succulent and made with incredible care. Thirdly, the bread, baked to order, seriously, each pita/naan, is flattened and then baked before your eyes, is amazing, order extra. I have now eaten there twice and have enjoyed each meal equally. The biggest complaint are the hours, we tried to do a large lunch order from work one day and we could not get through, sometimes the restaurant is open, sometimes not.

Amazing!. Don’t be fooled by the exterior; the food is SO good! The beef kabab is tender and juicy, and all breads are made by them! Delicious!

The kebabs are seriously amazing. A whole chicken and beef meal costs $12.50 and my husband and I split it. Absolutely delicious!!!!

Persian donair in Richmond!. What a great surprise- lovely owner cooked our kebab and naan for our donairs to order. Wow. Fresh cooked naan- doesn’t get much better than that. Chicken and beef were both delicious. Persian rice was buttery and so incredibly fluffy. Good tziaki in the wrap. The wrap was a foot long. Seriously filling. Definitely reccomend this place.
