CHEWY, dried, and overdone BBQ beef. We ordered a lunch special – bbq beef with cold noodles, and also a seafood tofu soup. The comp Korean side dishes were great; but the bbq beef was a total let down. It came hot, but it was completely dry like jerky. You could barely pull the beef off the short rib bones. Not recommended for a lunch that’s $12.
Overpriced15 Mar, 2015Food is fine. Absolutely no service. Staff look miserable. No ventilation and noisy as hell.
Soo kay. Had Bimbimbop and on the menu it said sliced beef and it was ground beef, but looked vegetarian cause it had very little and small shreds of meat
Not good as I thought…. I finished eating here.. Most likely not come back or recommend this place… Ordered the Combo BBQ for 2 and the Seafood Teriyaki..BBQ portions are small, not enough for 1 guy but maybe enough for a girl. The menu says its the finest meats but the beef felt like something you would expect from an All You Can Eat place…The Seafood Teriyaki.. There’s more bean sprouts then seafood.. Should be called Bean Sprout Teriyaki..
So disappointed and looked stupid for suggesting this place. Friends from out of town wanted to go to jang mo jib in Richmond but I suggested them to dai jang Kum. Thinking that it would be the most decent Korean restaurant in Richmond. (Bby has way better Korean restaurant). Anyway we were a party of 20. Seat at the back room which was a good space. Food was decent at first but one of their hood fan wasn’t working so it got very smoky to a very uncomfortable point. Service got very slow and very I unattentive. The food was ok, not great at all but can’t say is very bad. My friends were from out of town and having a reunion so we just want to have a good time tried to annoy the bad experience. We asked for some more drinks around 945 and the server just bought us the bill and said we are closing at 10 and needed to kick us out. Seem like they just want to go home and start turning off the light. So we just got up and left. I felt so stupid to suggest this place. There are many much better Korean restaurant out there
Good, but Pricey – slow service. The quality of the food is pretty good, its fresh and traditional. For folks not familiar with Korean food, that have great samples out front to show you what you get. On the downside, it is rather run-of-the-mill, the food while good quality is expensive for what you get. Its not a good value for your money – in that it doesnt wow you. The service is slow, but they do check on you. Overall, I expected more from the high ratings. I would not recommend due to high prices.
Oh yeah!. I love Korean food and this is my happy place in Vancouver. I can even eat here if I have a long stopover in YVR.
