My brother invited my girlfriend and I to dai jang kum for lunch on a lazy day off. He told us the lunch special boxes are pretty decent. So why not, we gave it a shot.First off the service is terrible lol. The gentleman who was bring our food must had been new. We asked for the Korean side dishes, sweet potato, kimchi, seaweed, and sprouts. He said it’s not included…It wasn’t until another server came and said he’s wrong it is included for free. Our miso soups came along with it which is free. Alot of miscommunication. Our Korean boxes came and there’s a good variety. The short ribs could’ve been darker and richer in marinade sauce and cooked longer. Food is decent but nothing special for lunch. Perhaps dinner would be better. I would come back for dinner. Plenty of parking all around if your worried about door dents haha.
I have driven pass this restaurant many times and thought of bringing my family who came from overseas to visit us for dinner. Boy, was this place horrible in service also, they were so cheap that they did not want to open another grill for us. We had 8 people and sat at a table where there was 2 grills. After ordering they told us one of the grill did not work, so I requested to move tables so I can have 2 grills. They told me all only have 1 grill working. I brought my relatives for the experience of Korean BBQ and you tell me all large tables only have 1 grill working. They also offered to cook the meat inside their kitchen, oh come on, I come here for the experience to be cooked in front of us, not in the kitchen. Service was horrible, no smiles what so ever from them, but they were prompt in changing our grill when it started to char up. As for food, it was average. The meat were chewy and the seafood pancake was very doughy.
