Not bad for a place tucked away across the Richmond IKEA. Sushi is actually pretty decent and service is decent and quick. I come to this place to grab a quick bite or take out after work.
I frequent Hashi as it’s super close to my house. Prices are pretty good, the sushi is always fresh, Sashimi is good, the service is good. I’ve tried a few sushi places in Richmond, and Hashi is as good, if not better than the remainder. Will continue to go here indefinitely.
To avoid the Friday crowd in richmond, we decided to visit Hashi as it is located in a commercial area. It is famous for their special rolls and also serves fusion dishes. This time I only had the Unagi Don because my stomach preferred some cooked food that night. DL and AC ordered a variety of rolls, sashimi, and aburi sushi. My rice came out steaming hot, perfect for a cold night. The portion is reasonable for its price. I was glad that I requested the sauce on the side, as it looked very thick and rich. The unagi was flavourful but would be better if it’s more fatty. The other dishes were all well-plated and DL, the picky eater :P, enjoyed all the food. I would say Hashi is one of better sushi joints in richmond at this price point.
BEWARE!!!!!!!I was here today with my parents. We had our lunch and the bill came to around $45. I paid in cash with a $100 bill and when the lady returned the change I noticed that the hand written bill was missing and there was no receipt. So i counted the change and found that it was missing $10.. Without the bill i was not sure if the bill was $45 or $55. So i waked up to the counter and requested my original bill. She immediately pulled up the bill from some where below the counter and it was only $45. So I told her that i had paid $100 and the change was $10 less and she immediately returned $10 without even bothering to ask me for any explanation.. The look on her face told me that she was expecting this as she had done it on purpose.She did not even apologize… .I am highly disappointed that this kind of behavior occurs in Richmond..Folks next time please check your bill and the change…..
Freshness & Affordable. I’ve been here for probably more than 10 times, and love their consistency. It’s one of the best place I would say in Richmond for Japanese, very fresh both hot and cold dishes.This place deserve to be full every day, exceptional food + nice owner/staff. So happy to find this little hidden gem!!! You can’t go wrong coming here for lunch or dinner.
Hits the Spot. Hashi is by far the best sushi I’ve had. Ever. The staff are always friendly, the prices are amazing-if not the best in Richmond for the exquisite taste-and they have one of the biggest selections I’ve seen, too, as well as amazing specialty rolls(volcano roll, my fav!). But my god, man! You have to get over there and dig in!
