Ordered a Caramel Milk Tea with pudding and pearls. Was told they didn’t have the pudding so they only gave me pearls. The pearls were very inconsistent, some very chewy and others very hard and undercooked. Pearls were very stuck together too. The drink flavor itself was ok though. Not too sweet but enough flavor.

Was a full house on a Saturday night. Restaurant is tucked away on number 6 road in a business/industrial area between Cambie and Westminster Hwy. Food generally was good although the size of the deep fried pork chop for $6.25 was fairly small. It didnt even look deep fried more like pan fried. They didnt have a certain dish I wanted which was a bummer and an entree came without my choice of sauce. Drinks were ok but way too sweet had to water down my hot honey green tea. My husbands green apple green tea had way too much syrup. Even with the ice melted down it was too sweet. Service was average. Did get our tea topped up once but that was it. Probably one of the more lower priced bbtea taiwanese cafes out there. They offer an entree, appy and drink combo for less than $18.

Went here on a weekday night, not bad, tried their ban jin ban rou mian, which means the half tendon and half meat beef noodle. and also chosen thick noodle, and the bowl came within 10 minutes, relatively okay speed, and it was steaming hot and the smell oh man reminds me of back home the beef noodle where they use suan cai, a pickled chinese cabbage, with a subtle smell of green onion that is cut, oh that smell, do i miss it. once the bowl came i tried first the noodle, as i ‘ve always tried to finish the first bowl of noodle to prepare myself for the 2nd and 3rd bowl of noodle. the thick noodle was firm, and tangy. which is definitely my preference. the beef tendon it’s also firm but not squishy just the right amount of tenderness. the beef cut is relatively good cut, not too thin and once bitten you can have a couple bite and the smell of the meat is not really present, and it’s pleasant. the broth, is okay definitely slight heavier side for chinese cuisine but definitely not thick at all. good combination. the price though, hmm around 10.95 if i’m not mistaken not counting if i add egg and extra noodles 🙁 but is it worth it? hmmm definitely worth a try 🙂 mangkr.wordpress.com

Food isn’t bad, one of the better places in the area. But it’s seriously understaffed… Waited over half an hour for my food during lunch on a weekday… Don’t recommend this place unless you have a lot of time to spare.

So I went there for the first time last weekend. And it wasn’t bad! I ordered what I usually order at other Taiwanese restaurants.. and one of the ones that’s important to me is ‘rose green tea, with pearl’. although they did not have it on the menu, they had ‘rose milk tea’, but the lady that day made rose green tea for me anyway. and it was really good, I told my husband, that this is my new favorite place.TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.So I went back again yesterday around 7:30pm (yes management, if you’re reading this you’d know which server I am referring to). Ordered the same rose green tea with pearl. She kept on argueing with me that they don’t have rose green tea, only milk tea. And I told her I came there few days ago and I ordered exactly just that, with no issue, I am not insane, I did order it here! So she ask the bar person about rose green tea, again, that bar person argued they don’t have rose green tea, only milk tea… so in order for me to get what I want (which I’m sure they are able to make, I aint crazy), I had to ask her ‘what is inside rose milk tea then’? She then responded ‘green tea, syrup, rose, and milk’.. so……. I asked her.. can’t do only do ‘green tea syrup, rose.. and LEAVE OUT the milk’? .. then she responded ‘it won’t be the same’.. so I said.. ‘I know!’ (thinking to myself.. DOH I KNOW IT WON’T BE THE SAME, one is GREEN TEA WITHOUT MILK, one is with MILK)… Anyway.. then she said ‘OK’ then ROLLS HER EYES AT ME.. who the eff does that to a customer??????? anyway, I usually don’t write bad reviews, but because of her eye rolling at me they deserve it.. food is just ok…… and because of that 1 good rose green tea last weekend, that’s why they have a 2 star.. otherwise.. they don’t even deserve 1… and get this.. I ordered with pearls, did not come with pearls, but then it came to the point where i’m to o fed up to even care anymore.. and I also ordered Taiwanese beef soup.. HOLY CRAP wat the hell is in it.. whole night and this morning I have a horrible sore throat!!!! NEVER GO BACK again..

Extremely rude services. Also, with this kind of services, the waitress expects tip from me….. For take out…
