came here during weekend dinner, and after having a good experience in a nearby thai restaurant and experience of thai food i have sort of have a high expectation of thai food whenever i step into a thai restaurant. ordered a fried rice, and some other dishes, and spring roll, the spring roll i think lacks the savouryness or i think the taste is something that i could buy off costco or something similar, and other than that the food is okay, but definitely not something that i would crave and pay for it, the cooking is comparable like when you have a roomate that’s good at cooking home food. mangkr.wordpress.com
Most dishes are pretty good. However, definitely avoid the seafood dishes that come with mussels or clams. They are not fresh at all. Prices are very reasonable.
We haven’t had the best luck with Thai restaurants, however we were recommended to try iThai out in Burnaby so we gave it a shot. We ordered the chicken satay skewers, the green curry with chicken, the chicken stir fry with eggplants and vegetables, and a bowl of rice. The highlight was the green curry, really good heat to it without it being too overpowering. The eggplant in the stir fry was also delicious, however this dish was on the oily side. The skewers weren’t that good, they were big in size but they were dry and the peanut sauce was watery and lacked flavour. The service was good, prices were good given the amount of food you get. Overall, the quality of food is pretty good but we weren’t blown away.
Hidden gem by Edmonds community centre. The best Thai restaurant in the neighborhood as of yet! The sweet Thai owner will chat you up and recommend you great pairings and you will not regret it! The pad Thai is the best my bf said he’s had. Don’t skip the green curry too!
This is our favourite Thai restaurant. The servers are incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious. The dishesflavourful without being heavy. We’ve been there a few times, and they’ve never disappointed.
Very cozy place located in Edmonds Area. Has a homey ambiance. Food was great. I ordered the Red Curry Chicken, my food tester for Thai restaurants I visit. Vegetables were plenty and so was the chicken. Not bad for the price. I also had the Thai Ice Tea was great not too sweet. Quality of service is not equipped to handle busy times unfortunately. But they are pleasant and friendly.
Tiny serving size and dishes have a ton of raw onions as a filler!. Tried the pad thai, wich was decent but it hardly had enough shrimps. The vermicelli salad and the Garb Kai with ground chicken both had an unimaginable amount of raw onions mixed throughout, making the dishes almost uneatable. I like onions and don’t mind raw onions but there was just way too much of it in the dish! The curry we ordered came in a tiny bowl and there was hardly any chicken in it.Although the service is great I would not recommend this place to anyone. thehappysloths.com
