i was wondering how did i miss this restaurant when i have lived in the neighbourhood for a few years, i love thai food but ever since eating pad thai in thip samai in bkk, my perception of thai food i have high standard of thai food, especially pad thai, the location is quite packed during lunch hours, however during off hours, is quite relaxed, say maybe 11am or 1/2pm. The food is well seasoned, the taste of padthai is rich (the slight citric flavour from lemon and sweetness from sugar is present) and have layers (i’m guessing some sort of oil, similar to shrimp oil, but not sure what it’s), one of the better padthai i have tasted in vancouver area. definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area. for the other meals, my dad loves the lunch special as well, can’t remember which one he ordered but it have beef in it. mangkr.wordpress.com
