Best casual restaurant in Esquimalt. My partner and I have become regulars since moving here in July. Consistently good food, and on the occasion when there has been an issue (steak non medium rare etc) they are more than happy to redo for you. Nothing fancy, but unpretentious, well priced, and excellent service. Honestly the fish and chips has been better than Spinnaker’s. Desserts are home made and very good.

Had the Halibut and chips, very good. Friendly service and old school charm. Breakies looked yummy too. Bonus: you can work off what you eat walking the West Song walkway afterwards!27 Apr, 2014Has the Halibut and chips, very good. Friendly service and old school charm. Breakies looked yummy too. Nice casual place. We spent a week at Westbay Marine & a highlight was Gaby’s. The new owners made us feel like family. Their eggs Benny & omelettes are excellent & their delicious seafood platter at $25 feeds 2. We’ll be back for sure.

Great for breakfast!. Friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our breakfast this morning at this restaurant by the marina. Pancakes were delicious and complimented with a bit of fruit. Eggs, hash browns and toast good too, with eggs cooked perfect. Reasonably priced.

Disappointed. 3 of us went for a special birthday lunch and ordered meatball soup. The first lady ordered a cup then when she heard the other two of us ordered bowls, she said make mine a bowl. Well a cup arrived for her and the other 2 of us got our bowls but NONE of us had any meatballs in our meatball soup. When we pointed this out the the waitress she tried telling us she thought a big piece of tomato was a meatball…it wasn’t so she went to the kitchen and came back with 4 meatballs each on 3 three plates. The meatballs were warm, not hot and we added them to the soup ourselves. Also when we’d finished, the plates were removed and our bill was handed to us. Hello….sweet tooth…don’t you have desserts on you menu? Not at all impressed.

Went in for dinner tonight….very friendly staff…fish and chips were delicious…yummy homemade pies for dessert…nice touches like homemade dressings and tartar sauce made for a very pleasant evening!! Will most definitely be going back soon.
