First time we have been to this Salty’s location as we usually go when we are in Langford and love the one on Goldstream Avenue.It was like this one was on a different planet!The chips were obviously frozen bulk ones and as they cooled they tasted pretty awful. The Halibut were thin pieces and dried out. We are giving it a rating of one instead of zero because of the very sweet couple who are running it and trying so hard but they need some lessons on how Salty’s cook and operate a good Fish & Chip Restaurant or I fear they will go out of business.So sad.
Disgustingly rude staff and dirty restaurant. Staff were more concerned with screaming outside the door to people parking than to tend to their own customers. I would rather eat out of a garbage can than ever have to come here ever again.
I parked my car in front to run to another store, was going to eat there but after having some crazy lady screaming at me to move my car from inside, I would never step in there to support their business.
RUDE. THe workers are extremely rude. It is awkward to be eating at this restaurant then to have the workers constantly go out of the store screaming at people who park in the lot. We saw them scream, threaten then flip them the bird. Nice, stay classy saltys. I will never eat here.
No where but down. We used to love this place… Huge portions and fresh, but things have really gone DOWNHILL. The fish wasn’t even a proper fillet, just a thin slice and dry, the chips were store bought and what’s that beeping sound coming from the back??? A MICROWAVE??? Really??? Yes, it was a microwave reheating the cheap powdered gravy? All this for the low low price of $40??? I could spent half and got a better meal at McDonalds!!! Where did this place go wrong? WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!
Always a great place for super fresh food. And crispy fries. They have a daily lunch special for 6.45 from 11-4. Varies from 1 PC cod and chips to burger with fries. U can add a drink for a dollar. Have been coming here for years. Great family run place.
Horrible experience. The staff was extremely rude, and the place was very dirty. Food was extremely bad. I would never recommend this restaurant.
