Terrible coffee! Essential for a relaxing breakfast on your own is great coffee. Unfortunately Bubby’s Kitchen has decided to serve Discovery Coffee which is bitter and nauseating and no true coffee conasure would ever drink it. I’ve always loved the food at Bubby’s but won’t be having breakfast here ever again unless they change their coffee.
Had a nice gathering with friends at Bubby’s on a Sunday night. Got there at 630 without a reservation and got the last available table…by the door. Our server was friendly and we never felt forgotten. I got their special cocktail which was the Earl Grey hot toddy. Definitely not something I usually order but the Earl Grey part intrigued me. Their miso glazed ling cod with violet rice was delicious and I was comfortably satisfied by the end of the night. Their menu consists of a variety of comfort foods as well as healthy others in the main part of the menu. Great local find!
Never got a chance to try this place as my partner and I couldn’t get past putting our names down on the waiting list. We stood at the host stand for a few minutes while being ignored by the host on multiple occasions. I don’t appreciate being pushed to the side, interrupted or talked over while finding a new brunch spot. Will not be back. Horrible customer service.
Coffee has improved. Everything else downhill. Service is very bad. Took 20 minutes to take order and 25 more till food came. Order was wrong. 5 more minutes to fix. No check on meal. Not at rush hr.
This place is a must stop if you like chicken strips. Imagine a chicken strip so good that you have weird dreams about them taking over the world… A little weird I know, but ohhhhhh so worth it
Meh. Underwhelming, small portioned, overpriced. There is much better in Victoria.
Too good to last. I’ve had some great meals here when they first started out. However, ate dinner here the other night and the quality of the food has gone downhill. $15 for a bison burger and you’d expect something more than a thin overcooked patty with a small shiffle of fries. Sadly I will not be returning and it’s too bad because the serving staff is great but the value and quality for the price is not what it used to be. Buh-by Bubby.
