Love love love. We go to Cottage at least once a week and love it!Their savoury food is wonderful, the veggie salads are well thought out , regularly rotated and delicious. In particular the yam, spinach, feta & pecan is a must! I am slowly working through their baked goods and have yet to be dissapointed, in particular the macadamia nutt shortbread and mousse cake are wonderful and sasiate the sweet tooth without being overpowering. We also buy their lovely baked breads and have been known to want the cinnamon raisin nut bread for dinner! The sourdough and caraway rye are also hits and go great with their homemade jams which are also for sale. The service is always wonderful, friendly and overall an amazing little family run establishment!
Hi. It’s me again. I was just reading the negative review of 8 months ago (and the one that swooped in to defend the bakery). I actually think that the Mom was exactly right about the people who run the place. They have also cringed and acted like I’m an inconvenience. I’ve found the one owner to be particularly impatient and unhelpful. Because of the lay out, when you get to the til it is easy to forget or be undecided about what you want…. It would simplify the process if you could point at what you want. And perhaps the impatient owner should not be working with customers? Some people just aren’t cut out for it.20 Jul, 2014This place is always disappointing. The food is generally good but the experience of being there is uncomfortable and always seems like a hassle. Yesterday I really felt that the customers were just not welcome. The service is slow. The lay out is poor. The staff are not happy. I’ve been there twice. I doubt that I’ll go back. It’s also expensive. It has potential but it must still be going through some growing pains. I dunno. I guess I’m on the fence. I hope it can chage a few things and improve.
Fabulous neighbourhood treats. We just love the Cottage Bakery. They are super friendly, the food is great, and the atmosphere is relaxed. You can’t beat the eclairs!
Customer. Terrible service. They are so full of themselves. When i asked for extra plate and napkin for my children, she gave me a look that made me never to go back there again. Salad was ok but expensive. We ordered also some desert with tea but the cake was to old. Some body told me they are selling their left over cookies and salad but i had to try it for myself to judge and now i know it was surely true. Overall i will never go back there. BAD EXPERIENCE…………….
Ingredible. I have never once been disappointed in the baked goods I’ve bought here. There Cinnabuns are so big there like a meal into themselves
Top Notch!. Wonderful location, product and service! On par with Delish and Wildfire as far as quality and ever so friendly. I will return to this little gem. Suggestions: Macadamia shortbread, tea and toast w/ homemade jam for $3 and the Almond berry tart.
Awesome!. I eat lunch here several times a week and buy bread to take home. There are 3 sandwiches and 3 salads to chose from each day, wonderful espresso drinks, and a sun drenched patio. Love the tuna salad croissant, heirloom tomato, bocconcini & basil salad, and iced lattes. The honey whole wheat bread and cinnamon raisin walnut bread are to die for! Welcome to my neighbourhood, ladies!
