The champion of tarts!!!. These scrumptious tarts were recommended by an anonymous lead and I knew I had to try one to decide for myself. Let me confess; one was not enough so I had to try a second. If I had to make a comparison, then Toot Sweet does for tarts what Crave Cupcakes does for cupcakes.Maybe I never had that many tarts in my life, but these tarts were definitely different looking then what I have seen before. When I think of tarts I think of those short, little, tin foil lined pastries. Toot Sweet Tarts are definitely not those! It is from a recipe that was handed down by the standowner’s Grandma, so the unique taste and texture will set it aside from all other tarts. The insides are of these tarts are filled with fillings that are so flavourful. If you like warm fillings I recommend bringing them home and putting them in the oven briefly at a low temperature. The two flavours I tried was the coconut-cranberry and the other I cannot remember. Obviously the coconut-cranberry was my favourite. I know that there are a few other flavours, but it all depends on the week it is that certain flavours are offered.This place is a must try, even if you are not a fan of tarts. I personally do not like tarts, but these I like. They are different then all tarts I have ever tried in my life. If you are ever in the Victoria, BC area and your sweet tooth is crying, stop by Toot Sweet to quiet it up.
