Good place for coffee on the go! Service here is super friendly and efficient. They always have a fresh selection of baked goods and breakfast/lunch items on the go thanks to Whole Foods. Prices here are super reasonable for the quality you get here. Skip Starbucks and head down here instead 🙂 reservationundercindy.com

The times are super convenient, and they always seem to have good meals and snacks. The cookies and muffins are really big, and totally worth the price. Some of them also sound like they’re pretty healthy, like the cranberry muffin with nuts, seeds, and fruit. I also got the vegan breakfast burrito, which I ate for dinner. It comes with salsa; the wrapping wasn’t my favorite (tasted too much like crumbly pastry rather than a wrap) but I still enjoyed it.

Hi, Allegro. I think I’m in love with your hours. Really, guys. Half the allure of this place is its 6am opening and it’s 10pm closing. Whether you’re an early bird, in need of an afternoon pick me up or have a late night meeting, Allegro’s got your back.Food/Drink: While one half of the greatness lies in the first paragraph, the second half lies in the Carrot Cake. Whole Foods Carrot Cake is da bomb. One slice is about 5 dollars, and fills both your tummy and heart up. It’s layers of moist carrot cake with a slather of cream cheese frosting in the middle and on the top. It’s not too sweet, really creamy and just the right flavour from the cream cheese infusing the cake. The coffee, on the other hand, is not too bad, but not my favourite. They do serve drinks, and cold pressed juices though so you have alternatives! They also have some cafe staples like granola/oatmeal, pies, and other baked goods. They offer sandwiches and salads as well for the hungry.Ambience: The space consists of a communal table, wonderful window seats to watch the busy streets of Broadway and individual seating for those wanting to get some work done.STUDENTS: There are plugs here! A hidden gem for those wanting to study till late. (PLUS: there’s healthy food to eat there too)Service: Fairly standard service. They are accommodating as you decide what to get.Transport: CONVENIENT! Take the Canada Line to Broadway-Hall Station then walk a block across the street. Yay, you’re there! Time to get working.

Not the standard you’d expect. Just isn’t nearly as good as first when they set up. I do like the juice bar even though it’s something I seldom consume, but that’s about it and nothing is worth the price tag in my view. I find that they are overusing canola oil in their deli items (excluding the raw options), if you read the ingredients from their seafood chowders it actually isn’t local or very natural, they don’t offer any breads out of the oven as everything comes in (they have excellent brands, but it’d be nice to get a fresh italian loaf or baton or something from the grocery store), coffee is more times extremely bitter than it is not and is definitely not cheap, and they stopped offering the burgers which were pretty good. Everyone needs to make a buck to pay their employees benefits and I will always support that, but I think the markups here on say, a fruit salad, are just insane.

Great salad & hot bar. Good breakfasts.. The salad & hot bar is great, though value varies depending on what you fill your bowl with because it’s all priced identically by weight.I generally like the self-serve seating and atmosphere. It can be *very* busy at times, but people are generally respectful about clearing their table and mess.Their breakfast omelettes and scrambles are pretty good value, though quality varies from day to day. Sometimes watery ingredients ruin the eggs and sometimes they don’t cook (reheat) the potatoes very well.I am a fan of Juanita’s (veggie) Breakfast Burrito. I have been eating those since the Capers days.Oh, and the baked goods. Yum. Several vegan and wheat free desserts are great (the vegan gluten free brownie, for example). And the cakes. The cakes. Pre-order one to bring to a dinner or party and you’ll be a hero.
