Just arrived in Vancouver and had to head out for some sushi, first time here as it was raining and it was a short walk. The place is small, inviting and we were made to feel right at home by the friendly staff. When our food arrived it was wonderful, as good if not better then anything weve had. Well definitely be back.
Overall a pretty decent meal. The Tuna tower and pressed sushi were both perfect. The shiso leaf and lemon on the sushi went together surprisingly well, and the sashimi in the Tuna tower was of fairly good quality. Nice portions too. The only miss was the fried Kimchi udon- it consisted of nothing more than an overly salted, one-note Kimchi flavour. But I’d still come back to try more.
We love this place. It has great food, a nice atmosphere, and the staff are very warm & friendly! We eat here weekly, (sometimes more) and when we have friends in town we bring them here as well.
