Easily my favourite place in Vancouver. Ive only eaten there once and I can say that the meal that I had was quite tasty. I generally go there on Thursday nights for the cheap beer and live music and always have a good time. The energy is always positive, and although theres often quite the line up if you get there after 11, its definitely always worth the wait. The staff at Backstage Lounge is super nice and accommodating which always adds to the experience. Such a great place to go on a Thirstday!
Slow service and crappy food
Could have been great. My friends and I from Emily Carr went to the backstage lounge last week, where we were met with disgruntled and dismissive service from all the members of staff we spoke to. We went there to have a few drinks to celebrate the end of the school year and felt discriminated against because we were students. The waitress came to our table, skipped the hello, and went straight into asking for two pieces of i.d.. Once she confirmed that we were all of age, she proceeded to tell us that she was not going to help us tonight because it was ‘going to be busy’ so if we wanted any service we would have to go to the bar. It would have been fine to order from the bar if we were not met again with the same hostility from the bartender. In addition several parties came in after my friends and I and were greeted and served getting there food quickly and with a smile. For a bar in such close proximity to a university you would think that they would be more student-friendly. Shocking service.Never going back.
I came and sat at the side bar and was served by a very attractive blonde tall young man. Gave excellence service and had excellent flirting skill, I bet he is great in the sac. He also made me a wicked orgasm shot 😉
Great service. Very few bars will make you any complicated drinks on a busy night but they do.
Waited for 13 minutes after being seated. No one came to take a drink order so we left. Many staff doing nothing but chatting with each other and wandering around aimlessly. Worst service ever. Walked out in disgust. Won’t be going there again.
