July 1st, 2016It’s been nearly 2 years I came to Granville Island. Knowing today there would be lots of events, I got my boyfriend to take me here for my Ferrero Rocher Gelato! It tasted just as amazing as I had it before. Long line up!
The prices were very high for the quality of food. The fish and chips were horrible (27$) .a small plate of nachos with almost no cheese and watery bland soup. The service was not good. The view is not worth the visit to this restaurant.
Folks, this place is just not good. It is, as many places on Granville Island are, a tourist trap. Lots of nice decor and nice view – although the view is of condo towers; the view of the ocean at English Bay is much nicer. Service was fine, although I did ask the server if people liked the fish and chips and she just kind of half nodded and made an inaudible sound. It was not good – at all. $24.00 for fish and chips and very, very bad. Sticky, gooey, uncooked batter and fries that were like from a knock-off fast food joint. I honestly don’t know how places like this stay in business.
Took my niece who had never been to Bridges today for lunch. The view & service were great, but the food…………awful way over priced & not very good. We had the panko chicken burger, it tasted fishy & dry, got better food at the dime for $4.95. we won’t be back
We came on a sunny sunday and sat on the patio. Good drinks selection, decent food if a bit pricey. But you come for the view, which is one of the best spots in town.
So, I love bridges’ seating and service but their food is honestly… Meh… Their fish and chips were ok, but I got the crab and halibut burger and it was bland and tasteless. Even their fries were soggy. I’m always down to give a place a second chance, but I’ve been where a few times and all I can say is they have good drinks and a nice view.
