Service was friendly but food/drinks were not great at all. I had the potato crusted halibut (changed it to the low carb spa bowl) and I couldn’t finish it because the braised red cabbage was soaked in what tasted like a combination of vinegar and sugar. My tongue was stinging and I was constantly reaching for water. The halibut was super dry (texture was like over cooked chicken, my friend actually thought I was having chicken). We had pink sangria which was very watered down (I was also bummed to see zero fruit pieces in my sangria). The only plus was the yam fries….. would not return.
Overpriced food and bad service. We waiting an hour for the food, some orders were wrong and they argued with us. Would never go back again, much better options out there.
This place is very basic and generic and of course overpriced. If you’re into all that though I would say check it out. It’s not all that bad of a spot.
Went with a large group, the food was not memorable, the table we got was next to windows, with blinds you couldnt open, which would have been useful since the lights over head were burn out, and the server had to give is flash lights to be able to see the menu, an hour before sunset. Food and drinks came out quickly for our larger group, but none were memorable. Also, if you go, dont get the pad thai (i know, who goes there and gets pad thai? Well, it was a friend’s last night before her wedding and was craving some noodles), it’s just sprouts.
Food: 4/5 Service: 3.5/5 Atmosphere: 2.5/5 Price: Avg. $25/personReturn: Will try the Happy Hour next time!!! Must try item(s): Yam FriesCats Social House, I have read its ad from the Vancouver ArtsClub Program many times, and I decide to swing by to give it a try with my wife. The restaurant location is very closed to the Toy Store. It is on your right hand side of the drive way when you just enter with your vehicle to the Granville Island. The foods taste were better than I expected, and as well as the drinks too. One thing, I would suggest the restaurant could use some tall glass for the cocktail drinks, instead of the short glass. Because it might make myself to enjoy my cocktail more than using a whisky glass. Back to the food, the taste of the Yam Fries was so so Good. We Ordered a Signature Pub Burger and add $1 for the side order Yam fries. What a deal! Since we were not too hungry, we had a Tuna Stack for sharing. The taste was very refreshing.
