I bought a $45 dollar Pavlova on Dec 27, 2016 and took it to my friends house for Christmas dinner only to find out that there was no meringue and the whipped cream was not real. In summary it was not Pavlova,barely edibleand we were all beyond disappointed. I called Sweet Charlotte’s to complain and spoke with Charlotte and told her I wanted my money back or I would post a complaint. She told me that she would talk to her partner, who I guess made it, and decide if they were going to give me my money back. They never called me backso I will never go back there again. You will be extremely disappointed if you go to this unprofessional establishment. I used to buy Pavlova there when it was Sweet William and it was amazing, not anymore as they are just trying to rip you off.
Terrible Pavlova. In fact it wasnt Pavlova at all – When I took the cake out of the box I then relaized I paid $50 for sponge cake and whipped cream with some fruit on top including canned pineapple on top. False advertising and big rip off.
Ownership change and quality down. From the beautiful photos and reviews I ordered a pavlova from this bakery. When I picked it up I was worried and it seemed so heavy. In fact, it was sodden and flattened and when I opened the box to serve it….a lot of liquid ran out of the box and all over the floor. The flavour was ok, but the texture was soooo far off what it should be that I would never return. The bakery now has a new name and clearly there has been an ownership change.
