We walked into Dockside without a reservation and were seated promptly, that is where the good review ends. The server gave us the wrong menus and after deciding took them away. They did accommodate our orders. They were sorely understaffed, as my drink order took 1/2 hour and seconds on coffee the same. No apologies were offered only the excuse of we are brewing more coffee and when the Bartender gets back I will bring your drink. The food came and half the party had Luke warm food, while the others had a decent meal. The same excuse was given, we are backed up in the kitchen. The meal was complete and our party split the bill, lucky my companion saw she charged me for an extra drink, The waitress said oh do you want me to take it off your bill……My review negative on all aspects!
One of my go-to bruch spots! Right in the edge of Granville Island, with a phenomenal location and unbeatable views of False Creek, and boasting a great menu, delicious food (especially the French Toast) and impeccable service, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for brunch in Granville island. Be warned, though, that it is on the expensive side.
My husband I went to Dockside for the first time. He had great prime rib and I had a grilled halibut dish. Our server was delightful. She was classy server but not uptight type. Just warm and friendly. Also every one else came to attend was so friendly and lovely. Definitely will go back.
Excellent service and excellent food. The view from the patio is amazing. Best to eat with your other half. Went with my husband and we decided to come here every month to enjoy the food and the view.
Dockside Restaurant is located at Granville Island. We went for dinner to celebrate a special occasion. It has beautiful dinning environment by the water at Granville Island; unfortunately, it has mediocre food.We ordered halibut. It was over cooked and super dry. It has weird smell. The explanation from the waiter was the halibut cooked in olive oil.Smoked Wild Sockeye Salmon Chowder – it was full of potatoes and carrots. I would say it was more likely a veggie chowder. Slow Roasted Prime Rib – it was over cooked. We asked to exchange for a medium rare. It was a disappointed dinner. The 2 points are for the waterfront views.
