I popped in here after strolling around Granville Island Markets. Intended to stay for dinner but had to pop out earlier than expected so just ordered the beer flight (CA$8). Very generous servings for the price and beer was refreshing. I only rated it a 4 because I didnt have any food so cant comment on the culinary skill but service was efficient and friendly.
A cozy restaurant located on the iconic Granville Island, Edible Canada knows how to exemplify the best in Canadian flavours. Their menu explores some things I hadn’t heard of before. Bannock, seal, berries specific to our country- this place has it all. Even indigenous wines! The servers are all lovely. Been here twice for Dine Out Festival and a great experience both times.
Came here for Dine Out and it was great! The food was very unique and delicious. This year they created Indigenous inspired dishes using traditional ingredients like different game meats (bison, elk, etc), seafood and plants. Same with their drink menu.Their service was very friendly and prompt, which I appreciate during a busy food festival.
Had been to this place recently. Preferred to sit out as i am not used to very strong meat smell (especially sea food). The seating was great. Service was a bit slow BUT could be because of too much rush. I tried their chicken sandwich which was very good and juicy.
It’s a nice space, and the service was great. We dislike salmon that is dry, so we specifically asked our waitress if the salmon was moist, and she assured us it was, saying it was her favourite dish on the menu. So we ordered that, plus the duck poutine, and a plate of roasted root vegetables. We were given a trio of salts to go with our meal, plain, truffle salt, and spicy salt. Nice touch, and unique. However, we never got to use them because the salmon (dry) and the poutine were both already inedibly salty. The vegetables were good, but it was a ridiculously small portion for $17.We really wanted to like Edible Canada, but my rating is mostly for the ambiance and service, not the food, unfortunately…
Every dish here was amazing! The menu is so good. The service is dependable. Drinks as well was so good. It was great experience. The servers are all lovely.
We were looking forward to lunch and trying some interesting local fare. Lunch was busy and we waited by the open kitchen for a table. Unfortunately I spied with my little eye bacon, lots of bacon, cooking on the griddle. Impossible to avoid cross contamination from all those migraine causing nitrates and nitrites. We decided to give it a miss. Looks great if you don’t have a migraineur in your party.
