This is a Eastern European deli located in the Granville Island Public Market with a menu consisting of of perogies, sausages, and sandwiches. I had their perogy plate, which comes with your choice of perogy and sausage. The food was quite tasty, and the price was fairly reasonable for the portion. This is a place worth checking out if you’re in the area and looking for a quick bite.Perogy Plate ($12.50):3.5/5This comes with your choice of perogy and sausage, and is served with fried onions, saukraut, and sour cream. I had their potato & cheese perogy and bratwurst. I found the bratwurst to be a bit underseasoned: it didn’t have the peppery spicey flavour that I liked, and it was also not as juicy as some of the better ones that I’ve tried. I did quite enjoy the perogies, which came with a good amount of savoury potato filling. I did find that some of their dumplings are broken or stuck together; they were still tasty though. The condiments were a nice touch; I particularly enjoyed the fried onions, which were nicely caramelized and sweet.Summary:Food: 3.5/5Price 3.5/5Service: N/AOverall: 3.5/5Recommendations: Perogies

Grabbed a nice little sandwich from head with beef and a few sauces. Sandwich make time was fast, and the food was very good. Pretty expensive, but I see that’s a trend in Vancouver. I enjoyed it tho, and will happily recommend it to anyone going through the Public Market.

so i ordered a bratwurst for a quick premeal for dinner nearby, and so i must say for the sausage/bratwurst it tasted okay but nothing that i would crave about it, it’s definitely better than costco for sure, but is it going to be worth it for $6-$7 hmmmmm i would say it’s not worth the money. would rather save up those money and go to a better restaurant and pay slightly more. although i must say it’s definitely not bad but it’s just not my prefered type of food at $6-$7 range for the portion and taste. mangkr.wordpress.com

I had the pastrami and it was delicious. Loads of meat and the flavour was perfect. I enjoyed the rye bread as well. If you’re on granville looking for lunch, try it out.

I was impressed with the friendly service but I didn’t find the hot dogs that great. There was a good selection and I liked the idea of having Chinese translations on the hot dogs (how thoughtful, I wonder where those visitors come from… heh).I guess for a hot dog stand in the bustling Granville Market this was OK. I just don’t like how the hot dogs were pre-grilled and set aside and they cool off. There wasn’t even a reheat of the dogs before they were put in a cold bun. Everything just became a turn off instantly. The skin was also rather tough so I had to throw it out. Comparing to Costco hot dogs, yeah it just can’t be compared… the freshness of the dogs, the juicyness of every bite, and the soft buns that were cold but at least they were soft… yeah. In this battle against the standard Costco hot dog, this place loses in quality but wins only in strong selection & varieties. Meh.

Best Sausage of my Life. I would consider myself a sausage connoisseur, I love a nice tube steak and I can honestly say I have had my fair share of quality meat. I know a good sausage when I taste it, and that is what Kaisereck provides. Juicy, tender and flavorful through every bite, this is by far my go to place for meat in vancouver. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the product itself is to die for. My only complaint is that I can’t come back enough! Do yourself a favour, stop what you’re doing right now, get up, go to granville island, and have the best sausage the city can offer, no need to thank me.

Jolly Rancher wrapper in my Egg Salad. Got an Egg Salad sandwich. Found a Jolly Rancher wrapper in it. Took the sandwich back. Got an apology and full refund. Not going back there ever again.
