I am a regular customer and I always have a great moment shopping there. The food is really savory and the staff, even if busy sometimes, is always pleasant.
The food is EXCELLENT. I am a regular shopper because of the quality of the cooking. I would love to give this business a 5-star rating but it loses a point for the rudeness of the owner and some of her staff. The owner is officious and unpleasant. She acts as though it’s a chore having customers. She’s blatantly dismissive and whenever I have a question the answer is delivered with a sneer and impatience. She acts like she can’t wait to get rid of you and you’re made to feel guilty for ordering anything. (Truly bizarre.) I tolerate this only because the food is so good, otherwise I wouldn’t shop there. Some of her wait staff seem to have picked up her rude manners also. Good luck lasting in any other jobs! I wouldn’t hire any of them.
Chicken Pot Pie Delight!. I had the good fortune of getting in on a Groupon for a tourtire and a chicken pot pie. I am just now trying the chicken pot pie and, it is very good. The crust is excellent and the inside has a very very mild and delicate flavour. It tastes like there’s a chef in the kitchen and he knows what he is doing. No comparison with this pie’s frozen cousin at the grocery store. Nice job!! I am looking forward to trying the tourtire and I will be back to let you know the result of that taste test!
We got Thanksgiving Dinner to go from this little deli at Granville Island. It was delicious. The starter was a duck confit and porcini mushroom tart (a mini-quiche). Delicate and the flavours were great together. Pastry light and flaky. Also included was salad with dressing in separate containers. The main course came in individual aluminum containers to re-heat. Tender dark meat roasted turkey (not turkey roll), truffled mashed potatoes and roast vegetables (squash, carrots, onions, etc.). There was a container of demi-glaze sauce (gravy) to be heated separately and citrus cranberry sauce (generous amount). The individual dinners re-heated wonderfully and the mashed potatoes were fluffy and flavourful. Did not get the desserts as we had pumpkin pie from Whole Foods, but they sounded great. Will definitely be doing this again, especially since Twisted Fork is sadly no longer doing their Thanksgiving Dinner menu.
All french food. Very good food, Friendly services, nice people great you with smile. I loved the macaron, poulet roti, nougat, etc, everything there is from France. Delicieux !!!
Sadly their truffled mash potatoes contained no truffles or truffle oil. Disappointed & won’t be back
Eat here right now! What a surprise! I love this place. Our gourmet sandwiches were fantastic, and all of their other food made me want to move to BC just so I could frequent this place and try everything. Yum.
