This is my favourite Japanese Restaurant in Vancouver. The menu is so creative and delicious and the staff are so friendly. The restaurant is spacious and perfect for large groups and parties. A warm and decorative interior. My favourite is the special called Knights of the round table. Just try it. It’s fantastic.I’ve tried both eating in and taking out – both stellar experiences. Definitely a part of my favourites go-to Japanese eats in Vancouver. And I have to mention the positivity of the staff there. All the servers were so friendly and courteous. The cook from the kitchen also came out to say hi and I think his name was Brian. We really appreciated his care for the food and it tastes amazing. Keep up the great work!! I will definitely be back!
I ordered the teriyaki lunch special and a bottle of hot sake.In spite of the fact that their menu states that the meal includes three side dishes and a miso soup, I only received some dry teriyaki chicken on rice and nothing else. I tried to be patient, but I was on my lunch break and after 20 minutes I asked for the rest of my food and my drink (I am a regular customer and order this meal all the time, so I know what is supposed to be served). The server eventually brought me my sake, and a takeout container??I would have tried again to explain myself, but for some reason, the sushi chefs (I was sitting at the bar) thought the situation was funny and began verbally ridiculing me in front of the other customers and making fun of the fact that I was drinking sake.I was so angry and humiliated that I simply walked over the the cash register to pay and leave. When I tried to explain to the woman at the cash register how angry I was at the way I was treated and the fact that I had only received half of my food, she just stared at me and made no offer to correct the situation.I eventually paid full price for half a meal and some of the most disgraceful customer service I’ve ever received.I used to be a regular at this restaurant and have written several very positive reviews about Masa online. Today I have decided that not only will myself and my family never set foot in this restaurant again, I will also be going back online and re-writing my reviews to let other potential customers know exactly what happened today.
Great quality sushi and sashimi. I went with my family and ate assorted sashimi, dynamite roll, and yam tempura roll with Sapporo pitcher. In addition, I ordered vegi udon, chicken karage and cali roll for my children. Fish was very fresh and ‘Huge & thick’.Actually, It was so sweetthat we ordered sashimi again, and dynamite roll and yam tempura roll was also great and filled with huge amount of prawn and yam tempura. My children enjoyed vegi udon with cali roll and karage.Itcould be good choice for any children. Sometimes people maythink children don’t like Japanese restaurant butthese menu, kind of don katsu, and tempura would be favorite for children.Service was very friendly, andwe’ve got serviceitem as well. I love this restaurant and come back soon.FYI, beer price was also affordable.
One of the best dine out restaurant This is a very trendy Sushi restaurant in Vancouver, and Vancouver has many Sushi place also we ate Japanese food many times while in Canada at some fine restaurants, but this one was the best. the food tastes awesome. The flavors were just perfect and the service was top class.Another amazing this is how fresh the food tastesI think this was my best meal in a long while
Excellent food with a nice variety of creative meals and very kind people. it is one of the best from dine out vancouver festival. every food was perfect i will be back there very soon
Tasty and well presented and similar Japanese food in Sydney, Australia would cost double or more. And you wouldn’t be able to get sockeye salmon or a dynamite roll anyways. Friendly service, free tea. Would have preferred the gyoza not deep fried. The sushi rolls were the highlight. andyquan.com
