Had the beef brisket on greens, beef was good, moist and filling, the greens were wilted… i liked that the dressing and bbq sauce were in separate containers, and the corn bread was a nice touch.The french fries here also are really tasty. I get this is a bbq place, but the greens should be fresher. And not turning brown…Will try again and see if any improvement and will update then..
I give them a 3.0 rating cuz I love the rib ends but every time I call for take-out or go in there, they’re out of something and usually major items like ribs or rib ends!!! You’re a BBQ joint – you shouldn’t be constantly out of meat!!! Service is not so great either. Meh.
Me and the homies got a take out platter and oh my god it was full bliss. Be sure to have a bottle of some nice bourbon or moonshine to pair this meaty goodness with.
The food at this place was nothing special. It wasn’t bad, just kind uh…meh. Especially for how expensive this place is. Plus they screwed up my order. I don’t remember what I originally ordered, but right after I ordered, they took someone elses order and for some reason started to make their order first, then realized they didn’t have enough to cook my order. The person who ordered after me got my food. Really lame. I should have been comped my entire meal for a screw up like that.

My wife and I went to the Memphis Blues BBQ. We expected some top quality BBQ and it was disappointing. Very poor customer service. The ribs were very dry and over cooked. The coleslaw, chicken wings and pop were okay the rest was crappy. Overpriced and over rated. I don’t recommend this dump.
Meat lovers of Vancouver rejoice. The brisket is better than the pulled pork and the meat in general is better than the sides. Get a platter if you’ve got a group. I still prefer Hog Shack, but I’m not as compelled to drive all the way out to Steveston. michaelkwan.com
