If you are yearning for some greasy chinese this is the place! Hit this place for a late lunch last week and ordered their house hits, didnt disappoint. Would return.
My husband recommended me to come here for lunch so I decided to try here. I ordered the schichuan beef noodle and beef roll in pancake to go. My expectation was by the time I finish eating, my takeout should be ready but boy was I wrong. They didnt even make the takeout but yet they charged me for both. The dark skin non asian waiter gave a bit of an attitude and told me it had to take 20 mins to make the takeout. Seriously? I ordered my food like 50 mins earlier after got seated and then he got the nerve to tell me to wait for another 20 mins for takeout. So it was ok for them to make me late for getting back to work for their stupid mistake without even saying sorry. Then I told the other waiter I wasnt going to wait any longer and just give me my money back for the takeout. The worst part was the noodle soup tasted horrible. I couldnt taste anything besides vinegar and the meat was freaking chewy. I really dont get all the raving about this restaurant. No way in hell I will ever come back here. Shitty food and shitty customer service from that dark skin non asian waiter.
Best Chinese I’ve had in over 10years. Very fresh tasting. Prompt delivery. The spicy pork and garlic was delicious. Complex flavours for each dish.
Had dinner here. This is the second time we have ate at this restaurant. We knew we were not that impressed the first time around and knew why the second time. We spent $50.00 and had three plates between the two of us. One plate was fried rice and we had no drinks. The portions on the plates were very skimpy. The food was okay but nothing great. What we got was about twenty tiny honey garlic ribs (mostly bone), a plate with a few pieces of buk choy, a few mushrooms and a few pieces of carrot. We are not big eaters but we were still hungry after. This was not good value. Sorry to say we won’t be going back.
The so-called hand pulled noodles were actually just cheap mushy prepackaged udon noodles. This was a shame, because it detracted from what would have been a decent meal. I did not experience this at their downtown location. Not sure why they are taking these shortcuts.
By accident, my boyfriend and I found Peaceful Restaurant on Seymour St, nearby Granville Skytrain station. The ambiance is large and nice. The servers were friendly and took order fast. We’ve ordered Sichuan Beef Soup Noodles and Seafood Stir-fried noodles. Both of them were large portions with cheaper prices. They were so tasty and fresh. Especially, Sichuan Beef Soup Noodles was awesome. Lots of beef in the soup. We enjoyed our lunch at Peaceful Restaurant. food.belindajin.com
I called and ordered takeout for lunch. A server picked up the phone and took my order quickly. He said the food would be ready in about 10mins. It was quick enough! Comparing to a Japanese restaurant in the same neighbourhood, they asked me to wait for 20 mins. I ordered a bowl of beef noodles in soup. It was only $10.45 including tax. The price was reasonable. The portion was quite big. The beef was tendered and veggies were included as well. The noodles were the thick and chewy ones. I liked them. I would love to order other dishes and try something new next time. I had been to this restaurant for dinner with friends in the past. I tried other types of noodles and xiao long bao. Everything tasted great. The restaurant had many people who dined in or ordered takeout. This restaurant had been renovated the interior before. Now it is more comfortable. It was not high end, upscale or modern. But at least the interior design is more up-to-date.
