Ordered takeout last night. Naan was ok. Chili chicken resembled (And tasted) like mall food-court-chinese sweet and sour). Super hard chunks of chicken, zero flavor. The sauce was dyed red and loaded with sugar. Any good reviews on here are shills. Not worth it even with a just-eat discount. Would have been$31.00for the privilege without!Definitely the worst Indian food I’ve had.
Best Indian food in the west side of town. Also QUIET!! Pleasant atmosphere, good service. Take out is also good, it’s slow, but everything is being cooked fresh, not a complaint.
How this place got such a high rating is beyond my comprehension… and its supposed to be the 5th best indian restaurant in the world??Maybe dinners different, i was there for lunch with 2 mates. They had the butter chicken special and tandoori lunch special…Honestly, it is nothing special… plus the portion was small so if u have an appetite, u’ll probably be hungry afterwards…Theres probably a reason why this restaurant isnt bustling for the lunch hour rush…
Came here a few times for dinner. It’s authentic Indian restaurant and the food is very tasty. I normally order lamb vindaloo and butter chicken and naan bread. They don’t make the food as spicy as other restaurant but the quality of food is good and the taste is delicious
I had heard great things about this place so I am sad to say that when I went during lunchtime, the chicken korma I ordered was by far one of the worst I’ve had in Vancouver. There was zero spice to it, the meat was hard and dry and the curry itself was so heavy with cream and butter that I did not feel well after. And it was definitely on the pricey side for a medium sized portion. On the upside, service was pleasant. Maybe a different dish or dinner time would be different.
Delicious, high quality food. Been there a few times, asking for spicier and spicier curry. At some point, the server apologized that they can’t make it hotter, because the chef thinks it’ll jeopardize the flavour & didn’t want to do it. They stand behind the quality & the integrity of the food.Pros:+ Delicious Curry made with fresh ingredients+ Pretty good atmosphere+ The manager/owner/server lady & the chef are super sweetCons:- a bit pricey
Their parathas flatbread is best in the world, that with a palak paneer, some mango chutney is all you need. Its definitely some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had
