First time going to this place and the sushi tasted alright. However, the service was the worst I have experienced in Vancouver.We walked into Sushi Bang at 9:10 PM. There was one active table of 6. We seated and order by 9:15PM. The food was served by 9:20 PM. 5 minutes later, the waitress asks us to pay for the bill because she was preparing to close. I didn’t feel great about it but I still paid them 10% percent gratuity for such service (Service ?). Then they immediately started to mop the floor aggressively behind our table (Is this the bang ?). Then they turned off the TV while I was watching it..(Another bang?)???? . No tea was refilled. ???On top of all this, we were originally invited into the restaurant by a waiter that was standing outside at 9:10PM….. The waiter said we are not closing yet, please come in. …????If they were going to start their closing procedure so early, why invite us in? we were just walking by to have a look at this restaurant and to ask if it was too late…I don’t really get this type of service? It just seems they want peoples money and that’s it… Sushi bang should leave the bang for the food and the take out.
I experienced very bad food poisoning after eating here on Friday, August 14th. Service was mediocre. Will not visit this place ever again!
Shout out to what’s probably my favorite casual takeout sushi spot in North America. The sashimi is extremely fresh, the menu always features fun specials, and prices pretty incredible. Gold standard for good cheap eats.
Great place to grab a quick bite to eat. I keep coming back because it is so close to my place and had great prices. I always stick to sushi and have had bad experiences when I get into the teriyaki chicken/beef..
I really like this sushi place, its close to my house and they have an amazing deal where you can get three rolls for 6.45! Its such a great deal and that deal is available through the day. They make their rolls very fast so I never end up waiting to long for my order whether its a take out order or a dine in order. The staff there is very friendly too and are very on top of it with their tea service, and thats really commendable. I definitely recommend this place!
Worst service, not only painfully slow but incredibly rude. We got up to get our own drinks, sauces and takeout containers. There were no soy sauce bowls on our table and the table next to us didn’t get chop sticks, which would be fine if there was someone who cared enough to be there to ask. Server Pur food down in front of the wrong people and ignored us. My friend waited her entire meal for water she asked for and we never got the tea refill we had asked for when ordering. Sushi was ok, but not worth suffering through the service.
For a sushi fix. I sporadically hit this joint up before work. Decent pricing & satiating; loving their Tiger Roll.
