This place is a little hidden at the top of a set of stairs, but after you spot it, you are fine. The place is very spacious, which is nice. As I ate here in a huge group, we were seated in a very traditional Japanese style- shoes off too. I really enjoyed the all you can eat menu. It’s a decent price for the range you get. What disappointed me the most was their lack of dessert options. I would have enjoyed the meal much more if there were more options than just Jell-O and Mango Pudding (I ate a lot of Mango Pudding though!).The sushi is decent, lacking sauce (other than soy sauce) though. Would definitely recommend this place if you are a big eater, as I’ve heard that their late night menu is only $17pp, compared to $24.10 (including tax) that I paid for the menu at a normal time.
The food is always acceptable, sometimes really good but never bad. The price is reasonable and I have always found the wait staff friendly enough although, like any other restaurant, they can get very busy and occasionally need a nudge to get tea.A note of caution though is that the parking can be a problem as it is very tight on the street, and the underground parking is run by an enthusiastic parking company, We met with our grown kids, who came with their vehicles and made the mistake of parking in the underground lot. All three vehicles received a pleasant surprise of an $80.00 ticket because, while having paid for parking they were a few minutes late back to their vehicle. In one case it amounted to more than $20. a minute cost! $240 bonus cost for the table. Even the City of Vancouver is not as vicious, and they are outrageous.
