The sandwiches here are phenomenal! Bread is always fresh, I usually get the turkey (pilgrim’s pick) with everything on it which includes avocado and bean spouts. I also love their Chicken Coconut Curry soup! Service is hit or miss but the owner/manager is awesome and they deliver to nearby buildings (I work in a dental office across the street).
Decent coffee and friendly service. Not the trendiest cafe, but it definitely does the job to get my Java fix of the day. Stopped in after a doctor’s appointment today and I would say it was an average coffee joint with a giant wall of elephants. Basic muffins, snacks and treats.
GREAT COFFEE, FOOD AND SERVICE. This place is wonderful. I stopped in here today after having fasting blood test across st in Fairmont Bldg and had a Breakfast Wrap and Apple Bran Muffin — both were delicious, the muffins are huge and very fresh. Service from new owner ? (I’m terrible with name)s and his friend Daniel who was helping out was very fast and super friendly, and the place is immaculate every time I’ve been in. Yhey do all kinds of catering too. You won’t go wrong if you drop into Tony’s for any reason from just coffee GREAT to a full catered meal for a crowd. BRAVO to Tony’s Les Ewener
Awful service. The younger guy working there pretty much threw my food at me and said ‘here.’ then replayed the same song over and over and over again, and when I asked politely if he would change it, he retorted ‘I’m too lazy’. I like the elaphants, but this guy NEEDS to be fired.
The worst coffee I’ve had in Vancouver. I’ve been drinking a lot of cappucinos from coffee shops while my home espresso situation is on the fritz. I walked over to Tony’s on my morning coffee break because it’s only two blocks from where I work. That was a good walk wasted. The medium cappucino I had was the worst coffee I’ve drunk in Vancouver, and I’ve been to a couple dozen places in the past three years. It was more than just over-espressed — it tasted almost sour, like it had been swirled around in someone’s old sneaker. It’s like instead of using water to make the espresso, Tony’s ran brewed coffee through their machine’s H20 feed, only I know that didn’t happen because I watched the barista as she worked. The people who run Tony’s really like elephants — there are pachyderm carvings, paintings and other artwork all over the walls. But I’d rather take a shower in the junk that comes from an elephant’s trunk than take a sip from another one of Tony’s coffees.
Overpriced cappucino and then the guy kept my 80 cents. First the price was 375, then he changes it to 420 then he keeps my 5. I mean he didnt even give me a chance to say You keep it! Just a she’ll have your drink on that side. Really it was only 80 cents but it’s rude to just keep someone else’s money. And yes, I was a chicken to not say anything. Anyways, the cappucino is decent but not enough to make me come back here or recommend this place.
Don’t order the Montreal Meat sandwich. For a sandwich over $6, had very little meat on it and wasn’t even on rye bread. The soup was good, I will go back and try another sandwich but don’t waste your money on the Montreal
