We tried this place a couple of times – hoping to discover a new hidden gem inside the City Square mall. The lady who seems to be running the place is very friendly and appears to know a number of customers by name – so they have regular clients. The first time, we wanted to give their Taiwanese noodles a try – they were quite disappointing with a very bland broth. We also ordered shrimp + spinach dumplings with a side of steamed bok choi which we enjoyed.The second time, I wanted to give their veggie combo a chance and I was pleasantly surprised. The same steamed bok choi with mushroom sauce, steamed bun with shredded cabbage, tofu (tiny bit), black fungus and carrot along with 3 spinach + water chestnut dumplings -were all flavourful and delicious. Overall, I really enjoyed it, I must also point out that it is a great deal , under $7. You can also get a cup of complimentary crysenthemum tea, which I recommend (if only they would stop using styrofoam cups). I will be back for the veggie combo!
