They were out of most of the toppings and I feel like their portion sizes are too little for what youre paying for. I liked the vegan protein option which was a tomato salad mix, but I was excited to try the tofu mushroom medley that was on the online menu. Overall, it was okay but would not personally frequent.

Portions are small. My large order is same as my friends who ordered regular size with the only difference of extra scoop of proteins. Extremely long waiting time for an order. There ingredients ran out on a not busy rainy weekday. For a poke bowl of $17 after tips and taxes, I would rather visit Poke station or other places nearby.

I came here to buy lunch waiting for 25 mins to place an order. There was a few servers. One was a cashier to collect money. One took orders starting with getting the fish and other ingredients. One picked up other ingredients and mixed them all up. A fourth one was helping out. It took a while that customers ordered the food one by one. It was extremely slow and not efficient at all. Probably the kitchen or food counter is smaller that all servers squeezed in together and got food for customers at the same time. It was tough for them as well. Anyhow, I was not enjoying the waiting part of this eating experience at all. Wasted 25 mins of my lunch hour…. not impressive… I ordered a regular poke with tuna (pacific on the menu). Regular portion had three scoops of meat or fish. It was good. I got to choose the base (e.g. salad, rice, brown rice and etc.). I ordered brown rice. The dish was supposed to have certain ingredients, but I forgot which ingredient they were running out. I had to ask for green seaweeds to replace them. So sad. It was the busy hours that the restaurant would not have enough ingredients on hand in order to prepare for the customers. Anyway, I mixed all the ingredients in the bowl before eating. I ate the whole bowl as I was very hungry after the long wait. I liked the dish because of the sauces. I had a better poke in downtown. Overall, the eating experience here was not great unless they have shorten the wait time, improved the customer service, ensured there would be enough ingredients to cover the busy hours or orders, and provided fresh fish to the public.

I had the brown rice bowl with salmon and Tuna, topped with Tofu, seaweed, veggies and mango dressing. The portion was perfect for me as a girl. The ingredients were alright, not the best but average. The ordering part was a bit confusing but the staff were super friendly and helpful!

The food: bland poke bowl, pretty standard flavouring, seasoning is poor, the pineapple has a strong canned food taste and the cut up fish portions are too small to even get a feel for the flavour. The service: had a pretty terrible experience considering the two guys working there were 1. unhelpful. 2. seemed annoyed when I would ask a question. 3. were rushing my order as if they wanted me to leave right away. (I wasn’t only one in line who felt this way as they were pretty snippy to the people behind me).The price: pretty standard for a poke bowl in Vancouver; however, for what you are getting you might as well go down the street to The Poke Shop as their poke bowls are way better and the service is friendlier. I do NOT recommend this restaurant. If you want good poke, The Poke Guy in Gastown is amazing! Great seasoning, fresh food, the staff is incredibly friendly and they always give you good recommendations on what to mix into your bowl and the portions are pretty big.

I’m always trying new places. First time tying this place and it’s not the best I’ve had. I could barely see the menu written on the translucent board Portions are a bit small. I didn’t ask for sauce so the server decided to add soy sauce to my order. The rice was really salty. The seafood and other toppings were quite fresh though.

With so much competiton, the poke shops in Van really need to step up their game in order to stand out. Unfortunately west coast didn’t hit the mark. It’s evident they are trying with feature bowls and DIY sauce on the table but it just fell short in terms of value and flavour. I ordered the feature bowl which came with garlic brown rice, negitoro tuna and a spicy Korean mayo. The portion size was adequate but I couldn’t help but feel a little shorted with the quality and selection of ingredients in my bowl. It was lacking the punch of flavour I’ve come to expect from a good bowl of poke and found my self adding a fair bit of the sauce provided on the table. However the service was great and the food was made quick and efficiently.
