I have been dining locally and find the Bacchus Bistro at Domaine de Chaberton in Langley has been delighting me with new experiences. The setting is elegant without being intimidating. What I would highly recommend is making it a destination when they are doing their wine tours and have a reservation for lunch . The setting with the vineyard outside is like a mini vacation to the Napa Valley making it a great experience. We have taken a number of guests and always enjoyed our visit. Tonight I enjoyed the leg of lamb in a delicate curry gently flavored with a bit of fresh cinnamon stick for a nice memorable signature that makes it their own. I hate to admit my highlight of the dining this evening was the chocolate mousse. Well worth it !
Excellent!!. We visited for lunch on a November weekend. The atmosphere was airy & bright. The host offered us a friendly greeting and the wait staff were there when we needed them but not overly attentive. My wife’s steelhead was cooked to perfection and her pulled pork pate was marvelous and was a very generous portion. My Waldorf salad was delicious, my scallops and chorizo sausage were excellent and the meringue dessert was yummy. And the pairing of wine with my salad and another wine with my entree was not only excellent but at $14 for two 5-ounce glasses was an excellent bargain. We will definitely be back!

2 Star Bistro. Very disappointing dinner and service almost non-existent considering there were only 3 tables. Meal was less than average – couldn’t taste cheese in potatoes au gratin and beef bourguignon no longer has lardons. Clams did not taste fresh. Plates piled up while servers sat around expresso machine chatting. What was once a 4 star restaurant has sadly been reduced to a 2 star. 🙁
We have been to the bistro many times, returning because of the great good and wine. However our most recent visit left us wondering if we go anytime soon- the service was lacking, and it took over 25 minutes to plate a cold desert(which wasn’t worth the wait).
Portions are generous for French menu. Lovely atmosphere and very good local wines.
