Patient guest. We arrived to a 3/4 full bar on a saturday night (tonight). Sat down and waited for 1/2 a Canuck period and still no waitress in site. We left.
Gone downhill. Used to be our favorite, but in the last year or so, not good. The poor servers are run off their feet in the evenings that of course means slow service. We coud see our server was trying but she was clearly overwhelmed. Poor kid. Never can understand when a business doesn’t have enough staff. The dodger has a monopoly on the neighborhood because thereis no competition at the moment. The food used to be heaven, but that too is no more. The last steak I had was to tiny, it was a joke. The server said it was 6 oz, looked like maybe a 4 oz then cooked. If we do go to meet up with friends we eat before we go and just drink. Keep an eye on those glasses though. We had dinner one night and ordered wine. We were about to have a toast when I noticed something on my husbands glass….it was lipstick! We called the server over and showed it to her, I will never forget what she did. She took a napkin, wiped the iipstick off and gave the glass of wine back to him. So when we drink there now we order bottled beer. Yuk!

Can’t imagine where someone got that the wings were not great or 12.99, maybe different place? we paid 6.99 and had 2 different ones, the hot was hooooot and the honey were sweet and sticky yumy. best of all were the yam fries, hot, crispy and not oily at all. the virgin caesers were exellent. only sad complaint was the pure mayo served with the fries, a little paprika and flavor would have made it perfect.
Yuck i gave them a second chance and it was worse the second time. I ordered the chicken wings.. Worst mistake ever! You could tell they came straight out of a box( the kind you buy at a grocery store) they were supposed to be salt n pepper and what I got was these herb breaded outta the box crap with some pepper sprinkled on them. Why would I want to 12 bucks for something I could have in my freezer! If I go to the pub to get pub food.. One would expect to have pub quality food! Not Whatever the IGA across the street had on sale. They claim to have freshly made bugers.. Yeah right! Never going back there again!!17 Oct, 2011Service. I come for the Bangers. I stay for the mash. My favorite dish here is the Bangers and Mash. 3 huge sausages covered with mashed potatoes, gravy, sauteed onions and all on top of a giant yorkshire pudding. Always good.Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is laid back and casual. I’ve been here maybe 7 times the last couple of years and the server still remembers me and my fiance.Highly recommend you check this place out.
Cozy and Casual. The Artful Dodger is a great place to grab a cold pint and play some pool. the Black and Blue Salad is my favorite but the variety on the menu hasn’t disappointed.the staff are fun and i really felt ‘at home.’
