The food here is always good! I’ve had hit and miss service, but don’t let that stop you! The food is good enough to keep going back. They also have some delicious signature drinks.
Very expensive for what you get. $17 nachos without any meat or guac were the priciest I’ve seen especially for a place like this. The food we did have was mediocre and pricey. Fernwood has gone hipster/hippie upscale I guess.
We’ve gone to the Fernwood Inn for years and went yesterday. The food was very poor-the carrot ginger soup had no taste of lemongrass or ginger, and not much carrot flavor. The coconut milk was thick, cloying and a poor quality-a cheaper canned flavor.Other people had very poor chicken strips (shreds, really) dried out.We’ve always loved the food before, but we won’t be back. There were four of us.
Had the Fernwood Burger. Wasn’t anything special and not too impressed. Being called the Fernwood Burger I thought it would be big and like a house speciality. It was small, too much bun, and small side of fries. Left hungry. Atmosphere and staff was decent. Will probably never go back. Only went because a friend had a Groupon.
Helpful staff. My brother, sisterin law, and I went there last Friday for lunch, we were disappointed there waSeNO WHEELCHAIR ACCESS FOR ME SO E WENT TO THE CAFE ACROSS THE STREET AS WE WERE ABOUT TO GO IN WE WERE CALLED BACK OVER, THERE WERE 2STRAPPING LADS PUTTING OUT WOODEN WHEELCHAIR RAMPS ON THE STAIR Sand pulled me up. Inside we were promptly met and directed to our seats given our tuenus and had our drink orders taken. It took a bit for our food to arrive but lt was worth it I had the chorizp butge witfries anf gravy it was well grilled and spicy.
