best chicken almond ive ever had anywhere always friendly service and the egg fried rice and sweet and sour pork always warm and delicious…….never complain to your waiter …….or the cook will spit in your food ……..a word to the wise
Based on the high rating, we ordered from On Yuen and was thoroughly disappointed in the quality and quantity of the portions. The VERY expensive scallops with green peppers in black bean sauce was horrible; came with green beans, not sure the scallops were even seafood and the sauce was a pastey substance with a few scattered black beans.The portions were certainly under served and wouldn’t have fed a family of four! Two small pieces of special foo yung, more vegetables than sweet & sour pork. Deep fried wonton was more pastry than not. The accompanying sauces were half filled!The bill was near $100 and better food was to be had at the local mall’s food court!!!
Very friendly service – one of the best experiences at a Chinese restaurant I’ve had. Unfortunately, the food was very mediocre. I find mall chinese food better tasting – ready made and all. Even MSG couldn’t save these dishes. Very disappointed at the food. I don’t know how others rated so high.
We have dined in, picked up and had it delivered, and the service was always very reliable and friendly. The food is always very good. The interior of the restaurant is reflective of an efficient family operation, not fine dining, aesthetically basic.
I admit I basically have zero expertise about Chinese food. It isn’t something I’ve eaten a lot. We ordered spicy chicken, chicken with cashew, and beef with broccoli. The kids added plain fried rice and plain chow mein, plus spring rolls and sliced bbq pork. I found everything delicious except for the fried rice was just too plain, and I wasn’t the biggest fan of the bbq pork. My favorite was probably the plain chow mein, actually. My wife found everything bland except the spicy chicken. She speculated that maybe she only likes American fried Chinese food?The proprietor was amazing friendly and attentive. He gave our kids take out boxes full of fortune cookies, translated some Chinese wall art for my son, and continually checked in. From his interactions with other customers (many of the regulars), this seemed to be the norm. I would probably go back, but what should I order? I have no idea!
Over and over again ! This place is consistent . Good food , good prices and good service! Thank you – On Yuen!! Your seafood hot and sour soup says it all!
I like this place a lot, the service is fast and friendly. The food is always hot and good. Wifi is available, They take cards and cash. I personally like the honey spare ribs, hot and sour soup and the beef Galan. And its ready really fast.
