Such a cute bakery in Fort Langley. Recently when I was in Langley my mom and I were looking for a little tea and coffee shop. We happened to stop by here and we were surprised by the pretty desserts they had. I recommend trying the date balls, they are great for diabetics or for someone who wants to cut down their sugar intake.If your looking for a good cup of coffee and a little dessert, this is your place to stop by!
I love this bakery especially the lemon cronut and crispy croissant with bacon and cheese. The cronut is the best that I have never had especially that it is better than the donuts from Tim Hortons or Krispy Kreme. If I really want to eat something unhealthy to spoil myself, this cronut must be the one! The croissant with bacon and cheese is amazing that both bacon and cheese are embedded in the croissant. Usually bakeries or cafes cut the croissants in half, stuff other ingredients like ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and others into the croissant but Blacksmith Bakery bakes the croissant with bacon and cheese together. It is the best one that I have ever had.
Croissant. One of the top three croissants I’ve had in the whole lower mainland, right up there with Beaucoup Bakery. Exactly the infinite layers of flaky outside and yet soft inside that makes a great croissant. Wonderful!
No Wifi in a coffee shop?. I really like blacksmith bakery- I like to go there and order tea and a pastry and do some homework. The atmosphere is great and even though I’m a broke student, I will splurge and buy their pastries. Recently, they turned off their wifi which is fine and all if you weren’t a coffee shop… The owner doesn’t like students there sitting on their laptop so I have resigned from going their. Not a fan of coffee shops that discriminate against students.
No Pastries with several hours to go to closing!. We heard of the new bakery opening and couldn’t wait to head down to try some pastries! We arrived a couple hours before closing on Saturday and all the pastries were gone! Absolutely not a single pastry remained. We settled on ordering the espresso chocolate cheesecake that was available in the display case. It was not very sweet and nice rounded flavor. Unfortunately it was on the dry and thick side. Coffee was great though!Thumbs down for now. They are new so hopefully they quickly improve on having stock in and change the cheesecake recipe. Great coffee – that’s a bonus!
