  Disappointing!. My husband and I have been to 1827 a number of times. We have always been forgiving of the unfriendly staff as the tapas are so good but tonight, we wish we had gone elsewhere. Our favourite dishes were served cold. When the server asked us if we wanted to order more food, I let her know the food was cold and did not meet our expectations and her response was a blank stare. Too bad that the staff was not even vaguely interested in our concerns as we will not be back from awhile, if ever.

  Not celiac friendly. There are a number of items on the menu marked as gluten free, however out waitress warned that the soy sauce on the ‘gluten free’ tuna was not gluten free. That should’ve been my first clue! I ordered 3 other gluten free dishes to share, but I ended up having a gluten reaction later that night which will take days to recover from. The ambience is great, but the portions are very small & the food was not worthy of the price & portion size at all. We will not be going back.Update on customer serviceI called and left a message with the hostess for the manager to call back. A few days later I called again because I had not recieved a call from anyone at the restaurant. I spoke to a manager who said he wasn’t sure why I had not been contacted but they were checking their ingredients to see what the issue was. He said he would personally call, likely the next day. It’s been a number of days & no one has called back. Pretty poor customer service all around.

  Casual night out with some girlfriends. The food was fantastic but the server was absent most of the night. Once our initial drink order was taken, the server only checked on our drinks one more time in two hours. Between six of us we ordered seven items from the tapas menu and everything was great. The ahi tuna was very flavourful and perfectly seared. The risoto balls were the most popular dish that we ordered and we all thoroughly enjoyed the fondue. Great venue with the live music and decent sized martini menu nice and close to home. Thank you for a great evening!

  Horrendous Restaurants. I’ve been to this restaurant a few times as it’s close to home and each time I think it’s got to be better but it’s not. It’s actually gotten worse and the staff are just down right rude and terrible. Fort Langley has very few restaurants but trust me people, stay away from this one.

  Wouldn’t know about the food… I had to walkout after standing at the front door for ten minutes, no exaggerating. Then once sat, 15 minutes went by with nothing… So I walked out. PatheticConsidering only 14 other people in the building

  Went for the first time for an evening out for a friends birthday. The booth, meant to seat 6, was a rather tight squeeze for 5. Between the 5 of us we ordered 8 tapas plates for sharing. While the menu described some delicious flavours, the reality was a let down. The cheese fondue was barely warm, the yam fries were rather mushy, the rice was well cooked but cooler than room temperature, the portion sizes left much to be desired and are hardly a shareable size.The service was not bad, but it definitely wasn’t good either. Definitely will not be returning as this place was extremely over priced and the experience itself was not something to make me even think twice about going back
