Shortbread. I picked up 3 shortbread cookies yesterday from the bakery and OMG. They were the best shortbread I have had since my mom and I made them as a kid. They aren’t to sweet but nice and buttery they melt in your mouth. The best ever !!! Will be going back and it’s a 40 min drive to get there.
Bakery service on phone. I just phoned this bakery, to reserve some bakery products that I used for years from this store at Christmas.My questions were answered very kind, patiently and honest.This saved me disappointment spending bridge toll, time and efforts, for not getting what I needed. (Dutch products I love at Christmas)I wont’ make a special trip now, but will check out this friendly bakery when passing through one day!
Fort Bakery (new name). This bakery was bought by current owner last November 2012 and has renamed the bakery. The baked goods from the shop are still awesome!I can’t tear myself away from the squares and cookies. I think I’ve tried everything from the eccles to the peanut butter cookies. The bread is full of flavor and doesn’t last long once I bring it home.
This bakery is the bomb! Everything is so delicious and FRESH! New owners have defiantly kept me coming back.Service is fast and friendly.
New Owner – ridiculously good food!. Check out Karen’s latest venture…as she has taken the old Fort Bakery and transformed it into a neighbourhood favourite. I have been treated to her baery goodies for over 2 decades and have never been disappointed. I dare you to buy 6 apple turnovers and get more than 4 home! BONUS – Fort Langely is a beautiful place to visit (and now a great place to get you home made baked stuff)
