Absolutely fantastic, comparable with the best places anywhere on the lower mainland…yet a fraction of the price and in cozy lower Gibsons. The owners are attentive and very friendly. A sunshine coast must!
Small Space, Excellent Sushi & Service. First off its authentic, ran by the right people and the food is excellent and meticulously prepared.On the Sunshine Coast there are two great authentic places for sushi, Nagomi in Gibsons and 5517 in Sechelt, don’t even consider the rest.Sushi Bar Nagomi is very small, 6 or 7 tables so i think the majority of their business is done via take out. I have been lucky to get a table on about a half dozen occasions and have had nothing but stellar meals.I would compare this to a mid to high end Japanese run establishment in the city with mid tier pricing. Its not as cheap as the low end city chains but its not that expensive either. $6 to $12 roll range.The Tuna Gomai and the Tuna Avocado salad are excellent and i always start with either one. I haven’t had any cooked dishes here so I couldn’t comment on those.If your looking for sushi in Gibsons go here you won’t regret it.

By far the best sushi on the coast and in the vancouver area. The owners are extremely welcoming and loving, they provide great service. The rice is cooked to perfection I have yet to find rice like Sushi Bar Nagomi. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for sushi.
Hands down best sushi!!. Last night we took my son out for his 3rd birthday, and Nagomi was his first choice! We agreed, as it’s already one of our favourites!Hiro and Saori are so friendly and accomodating, especially when it came to our son! We ordered approx 10 rolls between the four of us and were incredibly impressed with how good everything was. We ordered one of their special rolls, a Spicy Tuna California Roll that was visually, the prettiest sushi I’ve ever eaten! I love their atmosphere, it’s a small space with only a few tables, so it’s very intimate. We’ll definitely keep going back!!
Great atmosphere. It’s hard to imagine how Sushi Bar Nagomi could be any better. The space is small and cozy, Hiro and Saori are fantastic hosts, and the sushi they serve is delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The best place for an inexpensive bite in Gibsons.
Excellent Sushi. Sushi Bar Nagomi is a small Japanese restaurant located on Marine Drive in Gibsons, BC. The restaurant is located adjacent to another, much larger, sushi restaurant with views of Gibsons harbour and yet I would much rather eat at Sushi Bar Nagomi. There is a good selection of sushi, sashimi, maki and hot food, to satisfy all palate’s. The proprietors, a Japanese couple, take great pride in their profession. Our order was delivered quickly and was presented in such a way that it resembled edilble art.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good sushi.
