Friendly and fresh. We stopped in for lunch, our first time here. The man who served and prepared the food was so sweet. So attentive and friendly. He even bowed as he gave us our Miso. We tried the basics with a California roll which was well rolled and very fresh. I had the teriyaki don, good but I found the sauce was a bit salty. We look forward to go back.

Happy Happy Happy. I have come to L.A. Sushi many times with family members. I truthfully have no complaints. The owners are careful to accommodate my father’s gluten allergy, I have always enjoyed the food and I am always treated with friendliness and respect. I think eating there is good for my depression problem as it always lifts my spirits. And again, LOVE the fresh food!Grant.

Don’t try the futomaki. Decided to try out this place tonight for some take out since I’ve passed it a few times driving along the road. It was pretty late, around 8pm, so the place was completely empty. Right after I walked in, one of the chef immediately greeted me and took my order. It’s a Korean run Japanese place so they had some pretty interesting special rolls, but I wasn’t in an adventurous mood. So I ordered some pretty basic rolls: futomaki, tuna roll, and smoked salmon roll. Right after I placed my order, the 2 chefs quickly went to work. They even offered me some free miso soup, but I’m not much of a soup person. After I placed my order, I noticed they had some hand rolls/cones written on the chalkboard, if I was dining in, I would’ve tried it out!The tuna roll and smoked salmon roll were pretty good, above average in freshness and taste. My biggest disappointment was the futomaki roll, it have 2 chunks of egg (not the sweet tamago it should come with), 2 chunks of daikon (bright yellow preserved radish) and some very bland light brown preserved vegetable. Futomaki is supposed to be a bit sweet, include some kumpyo, and some pink sugar thing. Their futomaki just tastes like a daikon egg roll, not the best combination…Given the taste of the other 2 rolls and friendliness of the chef, I would definitely try this place again, just not the futomaki roll!

Terrible service. Waited for a good amount of time to even place my order

I love the use of fresh ingredients! Small but quality! I was just walking by and decided to give it a try and I was super impressed. I’m from California and our sushi tastes like garbage compared to the places I have tried in Burnaby

Delicious & Delightful. Some of the best I’ve had; I’ve visited many times and never been disappointed. Fast service, and some of the friendliest people behind the counter that I’ve ever met. Great for takeout, or for informal dining in.

Fresh Tasting Sushi…. Located right next door to a mecca of unhealthy food (KFC), this little spot in a strip mall provides a fresh selection of sushi, and excellent set meals perfect for lunch takeaway for one. I ordered the 12-piece Combo B, which had four pieces of nigiri and one skinny Cali roll, plus a bowl of miso soup. Nigiri was nicely cut and formed, and the Cali roll wasn’t saturated with mayonnaise (which I find happening at too many casual sushi places). Run by a friendly couple, dining in for lunch is also possible and you don’t feel rushed.
