2.5. Certainly not the worst Japanese food we have had but not good enough where we would return on a regular basis. Portions are pretty good for the pride you pay.
I’ve eaten a lot of sushi in my day and this is definitely in my top 3 worst. It is a kiosk in a mall so I’ve always avoided it for that reason but finally decided to give it a chance. The ika (squid) nigiri had a yellow tinge and slimy, off-fish flavour with a ton of wasabi underneath. Toro nigiri was half frozen. Chopped scallop roll was half full of imitation crab (never seen that trick before- interesting!). The scallops were few and far between. The salmon maki was ok. Definitely not worth my $15.
