Last minute decision to try this new eatery. We should have went with our first choice to try out the Ramen, but the pictures of the Don’s looked enticing pairing up with the happy hour specials. It was almost 9pm on a Friday and the restaurant was very empty other than the table behind us. Still they insisted our party 2 separate the table of 4 to give us a cramped space. (Hmm???) Initially were served 2 extremely thin slices of yellow daikon before our Don’s. My boyfriend ordered the Oyako Don and the Chicken Karrage. I ordered the Chicken Curry Don.We were disappointed with our food selections. His oyako don looked like a dried out chinese rice bowl, the chicken karrage was tasty but was very small but labeled as a Large. My chicken curry don tasted like Chinese yellow curry and dried out chicken pieces. Thats when we realized this was another typical inspired japanese cuisine owned by chinese/asian using Chinese rice opposed to Japanese rice. I barely ate half. The waitress gave us on the house a mochi donut. One bite, and I spat it out. So incredibly sweet for my liking for a donut. Forewarning, stick to the ramen instead as the restaurant title suggests.
