My experience dining here was….strange. The place looked high class from the outside, but as soon as I was sat down, problems started to appear one by one. The decor, though looked nice initially, soon became somewhat over the top, cluttering and tasteless the longer time you spent observing it. I got a window seat which was nice, but the view was anything but. There was a guy staring at me and my friend the entire dinner, I think he worked at the car wash across from here. It was quite uncomfortable. The window sill was quite dusty and the window was dirty, as if no one has cleaned it for months. Our table was sticky when we sat down and I had to ask the waiter to wipe the table again. Onto the dinner itself. We ordered fried chicken as appetizer and a tea set. The chicken was dry and skinny from being overcooked. The tea set was lovely on the eyes, but taste wise, nothing impressive. I didn’t feel like the tea set was worth the money. Feels like frozen food thrown together in a pretty way. We also ordered tea which had no taste. I asked the waiter for cream and sugar which they didn’t have. Beside us, there were 2 other tables, the place wasn’t very busy on a friday afternoon. This place is quite expensive so that’s probably why. The service was fine. Our waiter was polite, but they need to check in on the customers more often. Fortunately, we didn’t need much during our dinner because most of the time, our waiter was nowhere to be seen. I can only vouch for my own experience, which the experience was less than satisfactory. Lots of incongruity in the service, the atmosphere and the food. Nothing that would keep me coming back, though I can now tell me friends that I’ve been here.
I went to this restaurant for my friend’s high tea birthday. Turns out they have no service/poor service. The place is cute, but apparently, they b!! ch out their customers because they are not having a good experience. First of all, the birthday girl went through the trouble by ordering 2 days ahead for 8 high tea sets but we still waited for 1.5 hours for them. While we were waiting for the sets, not once, anyone checked and asked what we wanted to drink. Finally, I went up to find a server and he took orders for half the table by tea numbers (they cannot take orders by tea names) and then said.. are u guys done? what? did he just dismissed half a table of girls?Anyway, by no surprise, they messed up our tea orders. Each time they bring a tea, they have no idea what tea it was, only repeated the number. ex: t131. How are we supposed to know which tea.. lol. And they gave us teas but no tea cups. The tea slowly came one by one.. we had to use the water cups for tea.. do you think it’s acceptable? Additionally, we ordered other food, which took forever. My friend asked about the pizza which took longer than 30 mins, the server gave a ‘duh’ face and just stared. My friend had to tell him to explicitly to check the kitchen. They also poured tea on our jackets because they were holding the teas without a tray and incorrectly. There are way too many bad incidents to mention, but lastly, I want to say that the owner gave us 10% off the bill which came over $430. We split the bill and went up to pay. The idiotic owner started screaming like a walrus, ‘Hey, you no $42 , we give many discount already. no no! ‘ He thought we were gonna pay him $42 for the entire table. Omg, is it not the first time he sees girls spliting the bill? All in all, we had the worse experience ever. A tip for them, accept feedback, think about how they can improve, and thank their customers for their valuable opinion. The worse ppl are those who cannot accept feedback and get offended and blame others for their fault. If I were them, I would go to different high tea places and see why other places have service and quality of food. Don’t just blame, get angry and continue their ways. If they do. it’s only going down and all money will be wasted on the decor.
Like the review below mentioned, the owners of this restaurant have a serious attitude problem. I paid for a strawberry cake from here and the cake was very watery, not to mention the strawberry pieces were turning sour and bitter. It is no doubt that that piece of cake was days old. I decided to write a review on google as I had with all the trendy cake stores that I had been to, and noticed that they had ~70 reviews. Curious as to what other people thought was so good about this place, I scrolled through the comments and it became clear that ALOT of these reviews were fake. Whoever wrote these reviews were making the same spelling and grammatical mistakes in all of them. I’m going to go ahead and guess that the owners wrote these. I recognized the speech patterns and the terrible English from their instagram rants against bad reviews. As soon as I called them out for it, they immediately accused me of writing these fake reviews to frame them. Are you for real? They also accused me of being associated with their competitor. These people are from some other planets I’m telling you. I mean, they rated their own restaurant with 5 stars right here, anyone can see it. Don’t rate your own business you ego maniacs. In case you didn’t know, fake reviews don’t actually make your restaurant better.
