Good Hunan in Richmond. I’ve been to this place several times on stays in Richmond, and have always enjoyed it. Most of the Chinese food in Richmond is not hot and spicy. Nearly everything in this place is. We have to ask them to tone it down a bit for us. The menu is one of the most entertaining you will find if you like creative English translations. The portions are big, so it’s kind of a problem if there are just two or three of you and you aren’t really hungry. Tonight we had the cumin lamb and the pickled green bean and pork dish. To round things out we got the garlicy baby bok choy dish — excellent. If you like beer you can ask for the beer special — 4 chinese beers (forgot the brand) for $10. We had a great meal and lots of leftovers to take home. All in all a great Hunan eating experience as usual.
