Came here for lunch. The place was reasonably empty as it was a week day. Got seated quickly and tea was served promptly. Our food came quickly as well. Taste wise, the ingredients tasted fresh and the broth was not too salty.
Horrible food and horrible customer service. We found a fly in the cabbage and asked for a new one, and they got the order wrong too. The woman who gave us the bill asked for tips and had a really bad attitude when my friend (who found the fly in her cabbage) didn’t tip. Never coming back.
I was used to havingbeef noodle atChef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle in RichmondAberdeen Centre. I love the beef noodles soup in this restaurant. The beef and soup were very tasty. When I saw they open another branch at SFU Burnaby Campus. I was so excited. After waiting for 30 mins, my friend and I finally got into the new restaurant – Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle on SFU Burnaby Campus. The same as before I’ve orderedBraised Beef Tendon & Shank With Noodle in Soup $11.45 and my friend hadBraised Beef Tendon With Noodle in Soup $11.45. The food came fast. The servers were very friendly. It’s the best beef noodle soup I have been eaten so far. Although the price is a little bit expensive, it’s totally worth the price. food.belindajin.com
My family and I went there for dinner because the place we usually go ( next door ) was closed for renovations. No lineups on a Tuesday night. We all ordered TBN soups and also two appetizers. All of us were not particularly impressed with the soup as the taste was somewhat average and the noodle portions were on the small size for what was charged. The appetizers were also ordinary in way of taste and also on the small size. Anyways, total bill came to $49 for 3 soups and 2 appetizers. For what we got all of us felt it was a tad on the expensive side. Therefore, instead of leaving a 10% tip of $5 we only left a $3.5 tip. What really got to us was the waitress saw our tip size and then began to question why we didnt leave the standard 10% tip. I was surprised she asked me for more tip and told her a tip in not an obligation but extra for good service and good meal which I felt was not. Anyways, we were all taken aback by her boldness and attitude. Nevertheless, that will be our first and last time dinning there. Definitely do not recommend this restaurant as there are much better value for your money elsewhere. For those into noodles I would recommend you try Deer Garden on Fraser. Much better value for your money.
There is just nothing spectacular going on here. Everything I ate was alright I guess. I stopped for a late lunch because I hadn’t eaten and it was close by. I can’t say that I’d ever go back.
One of the best Taiwanese beef noodle house in town. Award winning recipes – love their signature beef noodles. There are also options of different snacks and Chattiime’s specialty drink is also served here.
ok service/ every time we came here they’d always forget at least 1 item on the menu for some reason/ check your orders ensure they wrote down everythingdecent food/ not the best Taiwanese dishesthey serve chattime brand drinks- kind of tastes like the original chattime but I prefer the original better since they don’t take the rewards points hereprice on the higher side but the soups are very fillingfamily friendlyif I had to choose 1 dish: beef soup would I go back?
