Korean fried chicken done right!Usually a busy place so plan ahead & book a day in advance. Got lucky on a Thursday night & got a table straight away.Variety of chicken to choose from, whether on the bone or off the bone. You can get half or whole orders. We tried the half soy garlic & half Korean sweet chilli boneless chicken with a side of fries.Fries came out with a mixture of straight cut & circular cut. Not as crunchy & crispy as my food partner would have liked. The show really belongs to the chicken. Piping hot from the chicken, the soy garlic was crispy & the Korean sweet chilli was sticky. Tender juicy chicken coated in the most amazingly delicious crispy coating. My recommendation- the soy garlic chicken. I will be back to try the original chicken!
FTW! I have been craving for Korean chicken and some rice cakes for some days now. So happy to have been able to satisfy my cravings and so close to where I live too!
Being a Korean myself, I will admit that I occasionally get the severe Korean fried chicken cravings. This is one of the first locations that comes to mind to satisfy my cravings with their delicious boneless chicken! I usually get the half soy garlic + half original, and I’ve also enjoyed their Korean sweet chilli. I would generally recommend to stick to chicken and not much on the other appetizers since fried chicken is essentially what you came here for!The only caveat here is that since this is a casual dining location where people like to eat, drink, and talk, the customer turnover can be often slow and can easily end up waiting close to or over an hour for a party of 2-4. If you plan on ordering take-out to try to outsmart the long wait-line, you can expect up to 1 hour of wait anyways. I don’t like my ratings being influenced by wait-time/services/staff-friendliness, so I will conclude with the following: If you want Korean fried chicken, definitely give this place a go!
July 30 , 20172 of us went there for dinner after movie.. it’s not pack .. less than 5 tables with customers… extremely hot there, without air conditioning… We had:Snowfall chicken — a lot of tasteless cheese on top of chicken and tasteless creamy things on bottom of deep fried crispy and juicy boneless chicken.Deep fried chicken with sweet and spicy Korean sauce… it’s taste like sweet Thai sauce to me.A glass of blue moona glass of dark beer … it’s too bitter for usA bottle of cass beerGood and fast services with good foodWorst part is extremely hot inside…
There were only two servers for the restaurant which was getting really busy for a Friday evening, but they were managing things well from my point of view. Service was prompt and pleasant from the greeting upon arrival to bill payment. There is only chicken, a few sides, and lots of beer on the menu. It is not like other Korean fried chicken restaurants that offers other entrees to try to cater to everyone. You can have bone-in or boneless chicken. We ordered both in half and half. The original bone-in fried chicken was cooked perfectly. It had the perfect crunch when you took a bite into it. The only thing is that I found it to be under seasoned after getting past that crunchy, yummy battered skin. We also had the boneless spicy chicken. This one was a bit of a let down. The batter was too thick for my personal liking, and it wasn’t as spicy or garlicky as I would like. We also ordered a side of coleslaw, which was really quite a disappointment. It had too much mayo. I think I like my coleslaw with the finely sliced cabbage then the chopped cabbage served here. This was only our first time here. I liked the original fried chicken enough to want to come back and try their other fried chicken flavours. It’s fried chicken and great beer, why wouldn’t you want more? Plus, this restaurant is a lot cleaner than some of the K(orean)FC joints I’ve been to.
A good friend of mine swore by here as the ONLY place he goes to for Korean fried chicken. Naturally your boy here had to see what was really good. Swung by here with a friend to do just that! First impressions of the dining area were clean and uncomplicated, though rather small. We were seated promptly and our server/hostess were both quite friendly. We had a full order of the soy garlic, a half order of the dak gang jeong (spicy Korean chicken) and a full order of honey garlic wings. Everything was absolutely delicious The dak gang jeong gets extra props for having some good kick to it. Fresh, delicious made-to-order food coupled with stellar service. What more can you ask for really?P.S. A little steep price-wise but thats no problem since the portions are MASSIVE!
