Thank gawd this place is still open! I’ve been coming here for their noodle soups since I was a kid and it’d be a weekly family outing for their onion pancakes and noodles. Over the course of many, many bowls of Taiwanese noodle soup my favourite is having the wonton noodles in their beef stock soup – which I take it as killing two birds with one stone since their wontons are my favourite (I wouldn’t go or look anywhere else) and their beef soup is just indulgently rich and full-bodied in flavour.
Really good chicken rice at Parker Place in Richmond. The restaurant is called Joys Taiwanese Kitchen. Their iced lemon tea is also really good for a decent price.
Joy by name, joy by nature!. My wife ordered the House Special dry noodles and they were great. Perfect flavour, truly satisfying food for the soul (and stomach!!). Many people seemed to order the beef pancake wrap so we will try this next time as this is one of my favourite dishes.
Try their delicious fried chicken. It’s easy to ignore this Taiwanese food store because it’s in the end corner of the food court, but this is the only reason I go to Parker. I love their deep fried chicken thigh with rice. It’s sooo good! It’s cheap ($6) and definitely worth the price, considering the quality and quantity. I’ve tried their deep fried chicken nuggets, too, and they’re just as good. This is my favorite go-to place when I’m craving fried chicken!! Give it a try.
This place has the best chili wontons. Love the beef roll too and the deep fried chicken leg on rice. Highly recommend this place.
YUM Beef Noodle. Enjoyed their beef noodle soup. Very authentic broth N tender beef N yummy noodles. All cheap N cheerful
This place has excellent taiwanese popcorn chicken. One of the best tasting immitation of true taiwanese flavours. The price is inexpensive and you can get sauces located on the side of the counter.
