Went there on Sunday for an early lunch – ordered Assorted Beef Noodles in Soup and Beef Tendon & Brisket Ho Fun in Soup. Add only $1 for a Lemon Ice Tea.For the Assorted Beef Noodles, you would expect to have assorted beef slices, but instead you got many pieces of those cheap ‘beef lung pieces’, not very impressive. The ingredients were too salty. For the Beef Tendon & Brisket Ho Fun, the meat was a bit too fatty. The Lemon Ice Tea was not bad though.I would prefer going to Kam Ho Noodles Express or Max Noodles House.Quite thirsty afterwards, not sure if too much MSG was added to the food. Not very recommended.
Ordered braised beef with rice noodles for ~$8.00. It wasn’t overly expensive, the braised beef that came with was a little odd, all the pieces were cubed and they were cooked but still cubed with some dark marks, probably sitting out of the liquid and drying up, with dry marks. The beef wasn’t as hot as the soup but still tasted not too shabby. I think they could use another piece of beef in it. The rice noodles they used were tasty. The noodles tasted the same as if they were from Max Noodle House. I like how they didn’t use wonton broth as some places use for the braised beef soup. Typical el cheapo with the napkins and the one didn’t cut it.
Came here for an early dinner/snack yesterday. I ordered the Tang Jai Jook aka Sampan Congee on Lung Kee with chow mein. Unfortunately, after I paid they told me they ran out of chow mein. Kind of strange how it’s so early on the day that they ran out of chow mein. Possibly cause they want to get rid of the Radish Cake that they asked me to get instead. Since I don’t like radish cake, I asked for the Chinese Donut. Upon receiving my congee, I asked where is my Chinese donut. The lady seem confused and asked the kitchen. The cook had obviously forgotten cause I watched him put the frozen Chinese donut into the deep fryer. The congee tasted pretty good. It was creamy and contained pig intestines and skin, squid, beef, and green onions. The portion was pretty good as it was very filling.FYI, if you are bringing it togo make sure you tie the bag very tight around the bowl as the lid is very flimsy and congee just spills everywhere.
these wontons were JAM PACKED with shrimp! I have never had a wonton with more shrimp in it in my life! The shrimp was well seasoned and there wasnt much more on the inside of the wontons so it really highlighted the shrimp. My only criticism is that the broth was much too salty. eatmunchlove.com
Worst foods ever. Super bad service. My whole family will never go back again. The place is not clean at all. I saw the chef use his dirty hand touch some other people’s fried noodles. Ewwwww
