My friend and I came by because we were craving Asian desserts but bubble fruity was closed and this was the next best option. (Literally nothing else was open since it was Easter Monday). I’ve been to the other location on no. 3 road and I remember it being nothing particularly special but I thought I would give it a second try. Interior wise, this location is much nicer than the other. Seems less cramped and overall, it looked a lot nicer. My friend and I both got our own drinks- an original milk tea and a matcha milk tea ($4.50 each), and we also ordered a durian & tapioca sweet soup ($7) which was only offered cold. The milk teas came first. My friend’s original milk tea tasted like any other milk tea, however, my Matcha milk tea had dark granules at the bottom. At first glance, I thought they were Oreo bits and I honestly thought I ordered the wrong thing but after taking my first sip, I realized they were little clumps of undissolved Matcha powder. If it was only a couple small clumps, I wouldn’t have minded all too much since my love for Matcha is indefinite. But there was so much sitting at the bottom that it made it a little unbearable. Our durian tapioca sweet soup came out shortly after. There was a single piece of durian meat sitting in the middle of the sweet soup, topped with evaporated milk. The flavour was there, not too sweet, just the way it should be. We broke up the durian meat into smaller pieces so we could have a small piece with every bite (highly recommend you do the same if you order this and if you’re sharing!). After my first spoonful, I realized some of the tapioca pearls were frozen. This was a major turn off for the dessert considering how they couldn’t even manage to make the tapioca balls fresh that day and probably stored them in the fridge for long enough for them to freeze? As I kept eating, I realized it wasn’t just the first spoonful but every spoonful after that, I kept getting frozen tapioca balls. Overall, the service was pretty standard for a dessert cafe in Richmond, but I probably won’t be returning for the food or drinks

Got a mango and mochi shaved ice. Good size aka the photo! Will be more than enough for 1 persons, but will fit 2. The crepes are meh. Their name is Mango Yummy, not crepe yummy.
