Best Wanton I’ve ever had in Vancouver! Even the noodle is very fresh and stands out with the shrimp wontons as traditional Hong Kong meal. Good as quick meal or comfort food. The location is also very convenient with plenty of parking. You can also bring frozen wonton back home and cook them yourself. Will definitely come back.
ok servicemy go-to place for wonton Noodle soup and congee and lo mein (spicy pork – warning it’s very oily but superb)Don’t underestimate the portion sizes. It’s very filling/ the only place I actually finish all contents inside the bowlwould I go back? Yes when I crave wonton Noodle or congee or lomein
Noodles Soup was excellent!!!Went there for an early Sunday lunch – a table for 2.Ordered : Lo-Mein with Wontons (5 pcs. of wontons); Lo-Mein with Beef Brisket); & a bowl of Shrimp & Pork Dumplings Soup (5 dumplings).Wontons were typically Hong Kong style – tiny but tasty, quite good. Beef Brisket was a bit fatty, taste was also good. Shrimp & Pork Dumplings were not very good – could hardly feel there was actually shrimp meat inside, just could taste the pork.Soup base was good. Noodles were excellent – the best noodles I have ever tried in Greater Vancouver so far!Recommended!!!
Max is a pretty solid wonton joint. The noodles are nice and chewy and the wontons are decent size. Not big and not small. Their braised tendon and tripe dish is also pretty good. My dad is a major noodle junkie and he says their noodles are spot on.
Everything is cooked properly, nice chewy noodles and simple fragrant soup rather than your textbook msg based soups. If you seek oversized wontons or large portions, this is not the place for you. The noodle portions are hk-style (small bowls) so that you can order more than just a bowl of noodles. Try the congee and Chinese donut. Wontons are classic bite sized, so I recommend that you not order just wontons instead get 2-3 items with your noodles. The brisket, beef tendon and dumplings are good as well. If you like a richer flavor choose the lo-mein instead of the noodle soup. Expect to pay a premium at this place. The differences are subtle so makes sense that the reviews are so mixed.
Classic Hong Kong Style wonton shop. Delicious food and quick service in a pleasant casual setting.Heaven for those who lived in Hong Kong in the 1960’s to 1980’s. This is comfort food. This is my usual flight disembarkation protocol when visiting YVR: wonton noodle soup, salt & pepper tofu (deep fried), deep fried dace fish balls, green veggies with oyster sauce.Wontons have shrimp only stuffing The clear soup broth is intense in flavour with dried sole (ground fish) and the noodles have the classic crunch from the lye (alkali).Stewed beef brisket and tendon topping is always a great choice: flavourful and tender.Service is prompt and very efficient.A must if you like a taste of Hong Kong when in Vancouver.CASH ONLY!
The best wonton noodles in Vancouver! Is a very traditional wonton style from Hong Kong! The noodles were very Al Dan T. The soup and the beef brisket are excellent!!!
